We stayed in the lil tiny cottage. We really enjoyed our stay -- it was very comfortable, quiet, and clean. The linens (bedding and towels) were particularly soft. The wifi is strong and reliable. I will admit, however, that it would have been nice to have a TV we could watch movies on. The other lil thing I'd suggest is stepping stones from the cottage to the parking spot for when the grass is wet.

The country location was beautiful, but there aren't many amenities nearby (coffee, restaurant). The owners let us know about that ahead of time, so we brought much of our own food/ snacks/ drinks, which was helpful.

We would stay again, were we to need lodging in that area.

I spent one night in The Cottage after a visit to Crater Lake. My dog was welcome too, which is one reason I opted for this location. The cottage is very cute, loved the decor and "retro" appliances (fridge/freezer, microwave, Keurig). The bed was really comfortable and I slept soundly all night. I was a bit apprehensive about whether the owners (who live immediately next to the lodgings) would be early risers out doing noisy work in the yard, since I intended to sleep in. But nope! Silent night, silent morning. It was so calming to take my dog for a walk on the quiet country road in the morning too. Owners let me know in advance that there are no gas stations or regular grocery stores or restaurants anywhere in their area, but I planned for that, ate lunch late and brought snacks. There is a wonderful, small organic food store just around the corner (Jo's) and it was amazing to see the quality cheeses, meats, yogurt, crackers, etc, that were stocked there. Easy to pick up a few items for more snacking and for a quick breakfast the next day (store doesn't open till noon, though, so get what you need the night before). I would recommend Country Suites without hesitation to other travelers! (P.S. No TV but good wifi to watch something on your tablet.) Thank you to the hosts!

Crater Lake Country Suites was a wonderful place for our family to stay while visiting the Park. It was the right size for our family of five. The hosts are wonderful people with whom we sat around a fire pit and had a nice chat. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and roomy for our family of five. We also enjoyed having everything we needed to make our meals. We will stay there again. Our only regret was we did not have additional time to leverage their kayaks and take a ride down the river.

We had a family reunion for people from California, Canada, Alaska, Florida, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. We booked two houses. Each place was terrific. The hostess went the extra mile to meet our needs. We cooked. We had two birthday parties. We loved walking around the area. The rooms and beds were comfortable. We had a great experience staying here to visit Crater Lake. The hostess even found kayaking for us through Oregon State parks at Collier State Park. Everything was clean. The upstairs bedroom had an a/c unit. Downstairs we opened the windows. The bathrooms were all up to date and very comfortable for 9 people between 2 houses.

This was perfect for our stay near Crater Lake! We stayed for a short visit with our three boys and we all loved it. Lots of room for everyone and it was so well decorated! The front porch was adorable and the boys played in the yard near the house. Annette was wonderful to work with and the house was immaculately clean! The proximity to Crater Lake allows for an early morning arrival to the Park. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our 6-night stay at the Mazama House at Crater Lake Country Suites. As expected, it is a bit rustic with some inconveniences, but overall it was clean, pleasant and met our needs; we were very comfortable. There is a bedroom upstairs with two single beds that is accessed through the main bedroom. Fortunately, we were traveling with our 28-year old son and able to coordinate privacy needs easily. Only 1 bathroom, but again, ok for the 3 of us. No cell service, but wifi service available. Washer and dryer was helpful to have. Annette was very helpful with her guidance to the grocery store before arriving and also with anything else we needed. No TV, but we were too busy seeing the area to care; not an issue for us. 4 stars due to lack of dishwasher and super limited cooking utensils; only sharp knife was broken and can opener did not work - we borrowed Annette's! Otherwise, it is a clean, pleasant, charming place to stay with beautiful surroundings that is reasonably priced. We recommend it highly.

This is one of the closest lodgings to Crater Lake National Park without being in the park - about a 40 minute drive to the Rim Village Visitor Center. We stayed in "The Cottage", a quaint, cozy place, kept ultra clean and decorated beautifully in a country theme. A comfortable queen size bed and air conditioning, made for a good night’s sleep even in the warm temperatures we were experiencing. ||||I had the good fortune of meeting Terri, one of the hosts of the property. Terri will go out of her way to make sure that your stay and the other guests’ stay is satisfactory. Through my conversation with her it was quiet obvious that she is sincere in wanting to make sure that everything is just right for all her guests.||||Booking on line through their website was easy. Once booked, you’ll receive a separate email with instructions on how to access your unit, so be sure to look for that. One thing to note is that cell service is rather sparse in the area. As a result, if you dial the phone number that’s listed, you may get a recording stating that the number is not in service. Simply text message them or email them and I’m sure they will promptly respond.||||To summarize, this property boasts a Great Cottage, Great Location and truly Great Hosts! We would not hesitate to book here again if we are ever in the area.

We stayed here for 2 nights and I swear we loved our time at this place almost as much as our time at crater lake!! We are a family of 5... mom, dad, 13, 14, and 4 year old. The teenagers loved being able to be free range chickens and take long walks and bike rides down the empty country roads. We all went on several walks down the country roads, morning and evening. It is so peaceful. The kids moo'd back and forth with the cows. They did cartwheels in the middle of the road. We sat around the fire pit and made s'mores. My husband and I sat out in the rocking chairs drinking coffee on the front porch of the Mazama house and watched while the kids played in the yard. Just perfect. 15 min to the entrance of crater lake. Great location. Clean house. Mazama house has a master bedroom, two twins upstairs, and a fold out couch. Kitchen was simple but was fine for us. There was a griddle for me to cook breakfast, a couple of pots and pans, grill, fridge, washer and dryer. No dishwasher but I don't mind hand washing. ||Anyways...adorable place. We missed it the minute we drove off...and have continued to miss it throughout the rest of our vacation.
