I have been up since 2:30 in the morning because once again, Marriott has installed motion detection in the AC units. As the guest, I have no control over how the air conditioning performs in the room, and that is absurd with how expensive these rooms are. No chance of running the fan alone because of the way they have it set up. Major inconvenience I am going to be so tired the rest of the day today.. The staff at the hotel is great! The location is nice.. as a suggestion buy some pedestal fans so guests can use them when the AC unit is so crappy.

This has been one of my favorite hotels in Marin. We stay there every 4 weeks.I love the people, and this review is hard to write. We went there for my birthday and stayed in our normal suite 328. We checked in on Sunday, and all was great, and so was Monday. Tuesday, my wife woke up and was covered in bites all over her tummy.I treated her with strong Cortisone, and we tried to enjoy my birthday, but she was itching so much.The bites developed heads, and things got worse. We got home and she went to her dermatologist, who determined it was bedbug bites.I sent photos of the bites and the doctor's report to Marriott. They said they had the rooms checked out, and there were no bedbugs. The suite that we were in had 2 queens. I was not bitten as I was in a different bed. The doctor gave my wife some very strong cream, which worked. We have slept in two places, our home and this hotel, over the last 4 months. Since being home, she has had no bites. So it is the hotel.Marriott does not seem to care for future guests, so I reported them to Marin Health and Public Services. We were not looking for anything but assurance that the room was bedbug-free; we never got that. So we are taking our business elsewhere, which is so sad.

This hotel is UNSAFE.||||On March 20, 2025, our room at this hotel was burglarized. We reported it immediately and were stonewalled and gaslighted. Hotel staff were dismissive, unresponsive, and treated us as a nuisance.||||We asked clear, focused questions about security. Their response? There is only one camera on the entire property, and it’s located behind the front desk. We eventually obtained still images from that camera, which show me entering the hotel with the bag that was later stolen.||||We filed a detailed police report with the Central Marin Police Authority. The replacement value of the stolen items exceeded $5,000, including electronics, a passport, key fobs, and more.||||Marriott Corporate’s position was simple: because the electronic lock log on the door showed no unauthorized keycard access, no one could have entered the room. They offered no explanation for mechanical or electronic lock bypass. In short, if there’s no log data, Marriott asserts that the crime didn’t happen.||||But the facts tell a different story.||||Some of our property was recovered shortly afterward in the possession of individuals arrested by the Healdsburg Police Department — suspects charged with burglarizing hotel rooms by bypassing electronic locks. They had my stolen items.||||The Healdsburg Police described the suspects' method as “a rather simple yet sophisticated way of bypassing the locks.” They confirmed these individuals had committed multiple hotel burglaries across Northern California.||||Marriott’s response? An initial assurance that they "take the issue seriously." Then silence.||||As a Marriott Titanium member and Lifetime Platinum, I was appalled — not only by how poorly we were treated, but by how vulnerable guests are. The lack of cameras and the implied corporate denial that guest room doors can be breached by anyone who knows the trick of physical bypass leave Marriott with plausible deniability for theft, assault, or worse. No cameras? They didn't see. Where's your proof? No electronic record? Door must not have been opened. Scary.||||Not all, but some of my items were recovered. That's irrelevant, though, because:||||a) All were replaced at considerable expense.||b) I had a huge effort dealing with the fallout. The value of the lost time was worth way more than the material. There were fraud attempts on our bank and fallout and effort associated with resolving that.||c) the robbers had our identities, address, car keys and house keys. That aggravation and stress is palpable.||||These are facts Marriott can verify:||||Report of our stay.||Report of our losses to the hotel.||Central Marin Police report itemizing our losses.||Still shots showing entry with the stolen bag and the hotel staff's acknowledgement of that.||Healdsburg PD's arrest of suspects in possession of our property and the inventory of that property.||Return of the stolen items from the other source.||Healdsburg PD's assertion that their suspects breached locked doors mechanically and without using the digital key mechanism.||Healdsburg PD's assertion that their suspects have been burglarizing hotel rooms throughout the Bay Area.||||Bottom line:||This hotel is UNSAFE.||Staff are indifferent to serious incidents.||Marriott refuses to acknowledge proven vulnerabilities.||Travelers should take extreme caution at this property and probably all Marriott properties given their corporate response to this serious and system-wide problem.||||Lastly, I invite Marriott to dispute any of the foregoing other than my opinion that that we were treated poorly. I made two well-documented good-faith attempts at addressing this issue with them and got absolutely nowhere. There is little reason to believe you won't experience the same or worse if you have a problem.

Staff was great. Room was nice. However, we might not be staying at Marriott hotels as much after this visit.

We booked a room on the hotel website and disclosed that we were bringing a pup with us. We reserved a pet friendly room. There was literally nothing mentioned on the website or during the reservation process about the $150/NIGHT fee for bringing a pet.
We were not told about this until we were checking in.

Shameful on Marriott’s part.

This is an older property, but it is quite well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and offered excellent suggestions for touring. The bar offers a very good menu with a large variety of eats from snacks to meals - everything we tried was good. This is a great place with easy access to the Ferry to get a quick ride straight to the San Francisco waterfront. Access to main highways is easy as well. The main annoyance we had was having to pay for parking for an open, unsecured parking lot (this is a money grab by the hotel) While we would consider staying here again, the irritation of the pay for parking would be enough to make us look elsewhere.

This place is a gem. Great location in North bay walking distance to restaurants and Golden Gate ferrys . Staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. I'll be back

Felt safe. Loved being walking distance to the ferry and the cute farmers market area and shops. Room was clean but I think we got a handicap room and I didn't like the shower. Liked the balcony. The employees were helpful and kind.
