Doesn't seem nearly as bad as some of the reviews. There were some suspect smells in parking lot, but staff reasonably friendly and no complaints with room. It seemed clean. Noticed no bugs anywhere. Maybe my standards are lower than some, I live in the country. Seems OK to me.

Evette at front desk was amazing from booking our room to accommodating our needs the whole stay. Her chocolate chip cookies were amazing as well!! Raj was the night front desk associate and he was amazing along with Ovorell they cared about the guest and it goes unnoticed! The maintenance work on site Fred he was amazing with great hospitality and went over and beyond helping us find things in the area to do!!! Me and my family couldn’t think you guys enough for the experience we went home with!!! We started as guest and left as family! We will most certainly be coming back again and again!!!

Our room is always super clean. Nice and quiet place. Pool is clean and warm. We've actually become regulars and will return again. Employess ate great. Breakfast is top-notch. Miss orange juice.

Positive: Nothing Negative: I purchased 2 nights here plus a 50$ deposit. I only stayed 1 night and still couldn't get my deposit back. These crooks are scammers

Positive: I did?t stay at the hotel. It was awful and I refused to stay due to safety concerns. Negative: The parking lot wreaked of urine and marijuana. There a were several people standing in the parking lot and trash was everywhere. I knew immediately that it was a hotel used to house homeless people. I felt unsafe and refused to stay. T

Hotel Review:

After we reported the cockroach sighting, the staff (maintenance) wanted to spray for the roaches and have us return to the room after about 30 minutes. No apology, I asked about switching rooms and the maintenance man said that it would “mess up their system” if I did that and it would be easier on them if we just stayed in the roach room after he sprayed real quick. This is when the man behind the desk spoke up and said she doesn’t want to go back into that room, I’m going to give her a different room. I thanked him and asked if we could go look at the room. He informed me that the room would be on the second floor and asked if that was ok. We had originally had 2 rooms side by side on the first floor since we had 8 people in our group. My daughters and I went up to the new room, #248. Upon entering the room we see that the door has been previously broken into with a crow bar. This gave us an uneasy feeling. We took a Quick Look around and decided that we would move to that room. Everyone was tired being that it was almost midnight by this time. We grabbed our stuff from the room on the first floor and brought it up to the second floor with our kids. We cautiously got settled into the room, just after my husband got changed into his pajamas, I sat down on the bed next to him and there was a cockroach crawling behind his head on the headboard of the bed. The kids ran and got a cup to trap it in. As he is trapping that one he sees another one on the wall by the couch. At this point I tell the kids to pack our stuff because we are leaving. It’s now 12:30am, we’re exhausted and just want a clean place to sleep. I call the front desk to let them know that we need someone to come up to our room immediately to see the roaches that we’ve found in our new room. After about 15 minutes the same rude maintenance man came upstairs with a chemical sprayer and a smirk on his face. He says, “see, y’all should’ve let me spray the room downstairs and y’all would’ve been just fine.” I was in absolute disbelief at this comment. I asked him if he was actually serious?!? He said “well yeah, of course they are going to go up” This man had absolutely no remorse about the situation. I am in tears at this because I am so upset that our fun family weekend is being spent like this. We called the Baymont Inn down the road and the lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful.

This hotel gets 1 star only for the sake of employees, who try to do what they can. This is the worst hotel EVER (compared to 2 other bad experiences of dirty/bugs in other motels). Worst hotel in 40 years of travel. List of problems too extensive to put in a review (took an page to list them in an email to Choice corporate, who refunded one night but otherwise did not respond to my concerns). While in Griffin on business, this hotel wouldn't allow me to cancel without charging me for the stay (i.e. check out but no refund for 3 nights). I was stuck in town with overbooked hotels and the experience was horrible. I did not check TripAdvisor before I booked because I trusted the Choice brand. This is not a corporate hotel. I will beware before booking Choice again now that I know they allow such horrible franchise conditions to exist. The only positive I can say is courtesy of employees and that employees kept the onsite breakfast area clean.

We stayed here needing a budget friendly hotel while visiting family and then heading to Disney … with that being said that is what this is. Don’t expect anything spectacular. It smells like weed everywhere, the rooms are out dated, shower head was loose, tv had absolutely no signal so it’s super fuzzy, the tv remote was missing we had to go to the front desk, beds are hard as a rock and sheets just slip right off. Good things the free breakfast was decent and they did refund us for our last night because we wanted to head out early for family reasons. Just don’t expect a lot! This would be a one night quick stay hotel. Not a long stay hotel!
