I used to stay at this hotel frequently a couple years ago. It has since gone downhill. Upon check in, staff were talking on speaker phone the entire time. I paid online for my reservation and she did not know how to process same. Pet fee was way over- priced. Not as clean as it used to be. I believe this hotel may be housing homeless people as the majority of their clientele and a couple people laying around the lobby at different hours. Does have a hot breakfast, but overall extremely overpriced. Will not be back.

Let me begin by saying that my wife and I have always looked to book our overnight stays with Country Inn and suites if there was one in the area and have always been pleased with our choices. That ended with our stay this weekend. For starters when we pulled up there were people smoking by the check-in area and the lobby smelled of cigarettes. We stepped off the elevator on the third floor and again there was the strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from a room marked "Staff Only" just to the right of the elevator.
Our room was a King Suite however it was so small there was hardly enough room to move around the room especially when our son pulled the sofa bed out. The sofa cushions had stains all over it and cigarette burns in it and so did the King bed for that matter.
The heater/ac unit was pulled out away from the wall and you could actually look out and see the parking lot.
My wife went down to the front desk to get the bedding for the sofa bed and was given a sheet and blanket but was told there were no pillows.
The bathroom faucet was so loose that we were afraid it would break off, the shower head too was loose and couldn't be adjusted properly.
The bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable.
We had worked all day and just drove 2hrs to get to the motel so we were exhausted and just wanted to rest so we decided to tough it out. The breakfast was also horrible not even any orange juice or fresh fruit.
I know this will get the vanilla response and life will go on. Just be leary of this motel in Anderson. By the way this was far from the cheapest in the area and have no problem paying for a nice motel. This was not it!

A Mixed Stay. 2/5

We ended up at this hotel after a disappointing experience at another property, driving an additional 30 minutes late at night, already exhausted after an 8.5-hour drive. We arrived around midnight, so we were grateful for the quick and smooth check-in process. The staff was polite, and luggage carts were available, making it easy for us to bring in our belongings. Having booked the hotel last minute, we were assigned a handicap accessible room, which wasn’t an issue for us, but there were a few other things that detracted from the experience.

Once we unpacked and settled in, we were ready to relax and unwind. Unfortunately, when we tried to turn on the TV, we discovered there was no signal, so we couldn’t watch any television. It was a small but frustrating inconvenience after such a long day.

Around 6:45 AM, just as we were getting some much-needed rest, there was a persistent knock at the door. At first, I ignored it because it seemed absurd for anyone to be knocking on a guest’s door at that hour. But the knocking continued, so I got up to answer while trying to let my wife sleep and keep our puppy calm. The front desk informed me they made a mistake with some paperwork, but it turned out it wasn’t even for our room—they had the wrong one. Now, with the puppy awake and only five hours of sleep, I couldn’t fall back asleep. Hotels should be a place to rest, not to be disturbed so early in the morning.

Adding to the disappointment, the hallway outside the elevator reeked of cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant to walk through each time. The carpets in our room were also badly stained, which made the room feel less clean. While the room itself was mostly clean, the bathroom could have used a bit more attention, especially the toilet.

We still have one more day in this hotel, and we’re hoping the experience improves. But as of now, we are not entirely satisfied with our stay. We will update the review if things change.

So there are a lot of great things and some not so good things. Location is awesome! You can literally walk to a ton of restaurants. There is also a movie theater right by it as well. The coffee pot in the room was missing parts so we couldn’t make coffee. There was no sheets, blankets or pillows for pull out couch. When we asked we were given one pillow and just sheets no blanket. I asked for another pillow because I had 2 kids sleeping on it and was told no. The glass door for the shower in the bathroom would not stay closed. It kept opening. The mattress for the pull out couch had pee stains on it. There was one remote for the 2 tvs. There was no sheet that said what the tv channels were. So we basically scrolled forever to find something for the kids. The breakfast was very good! Definitely need to try it! They had a lot of selection. The pool was amazing and very clean!

Not worth the price. Recent road-trip had my wife and her sister spending a night at this Country Inn and Suites in Anderson, SC. Conveniently located off of US-76 and I-85 with available restaurants and fast food chains within walking distance. Clemson and Anderson Universities are a short drive away. Check-in was easy and staff friendly. Standard two queen bed suite was clean with the usual amenities of flat screen tv, WI-FI , mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Beds were doable but a bit hard. Pool was clean, warm and being indoors a plus. No hot tub. Breakfast offered a variety of options but seemed to be depleted. Noting posted signs and talking with a friendly breakfast attendant the abuse and removal of breakfast items was an on-going problem. Breakfast offered bacon, breakfast potatoes, bagel toppers, make your own waffles, cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, bread, pastries, coffee and juice. Breakfast area had limited seating. Did note that the room was in need of updating with water stained ceiling tiles, scarred door and broken mirror frame. Some of the other guests were a bit sketchy and the ladies resorted to staying in their room.

Don't like 100.00 security deposits that take weeks to come off. Appears mostly clean. Bathroom door dented. Bathroom needs updating. A little dusty. Air conditioner is loud and.rattles. something is kicking up my allergies. Could be dust or dirty ac filter. Or mold somewhere. Can't breathe and eyes are itchy. Kinda high priced for what it is. Not the nicer of the country inn I've stayed at.

Edit. Downgraded by another star because I was awakened by loud banging on the door at exactly 11:00 when checkout is by housekeeping. I asked the clerk at check-in for a 12:00 checkout and he said yes. No communication.

We've been staying at hotels using a TSA voucher. Not only have we been displaced due to Helene, my husband has also been going through cancer treatments. It has been a difficult time for us, to say the least. Most of the FEMA approved hotels were not knowledgeable with the TSA voucher, causing us to end up sleeping in our car. Most of them were not clean and hardly have any ammenities like free breakfast, which is kind of important when you have to pay for all your meals anyway. Plus we were treated like homeless bums off the street. I can't say how thankful we are for Sofia at the Country Inn in Anderson, SC. Not only is she knowledgeable, she is friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel has free breakfast and an indoor pool along with spotless rooms. I thank you, Sofia, for going out of your way to help us, we can't thank you enough!
