In summary, it was a rather disappointing experience: many items were missing from the menu, I was told to expect a 30-minute wait for food, but it took about 70 minutes for it to arrive. When the food was finally brought to the table, I was informed then that an item I had ordered was no longer available. The food was lukewarm at best, and the service was poor. A friend had recommended this place to me, it may have just been a bad day for the restaurant. However, based on other reviews, this may not be an isolated incident. If you decide to give it a try, proceed with tempered expectations and an open schedule.

I arrived in the early evening, and it started with the hostess informing me that a majority of items were unavailable. She encouraged me to take a photo of the menu with the struck-through items and the number of remaining items. When I placed my order, the server mentioned that it could take up to 30 minutes for the food to arrive because the restaurant was "busy." In the end, it took just over 70 minutes for the food to arrive, according to the receipt. While waiting, my server never came to check in, refill my drink, or provide any updates on the delay. The server only came to my table four times: to take the drink order, take the food order, bring the food, and bring the bill.

When the food finally arrived, the server informed me that the sides I had ordered, which were available at the time of ordering, were no longer available.

Given the amount of time that passed, I had high expectations, assuming they had made my pasty from scratch and just pulled it out of the oven. Unfortunately, those expectations were quickly dashed when I took my first bite and found the food lukewarm. The flavors were mostly there, but it wasn’t hot—any of it. I even tried searching for a hot piece, but at best, they were lukewarm.

The kitchen staff and server should not shoulder the majority of the responsibility here. Everything starts at the top and works its way down into the culture of the restaurant. The owners should take a serious look at the examples they set and the standards they uphold if they want to ensure a consistent food and service experience for their guests and maintain the long-term success of their restaurant.

That said, those searching for a novel meal should carefully consider whether they want to visit this place. While it may have been an off day, there are enough recurring issues mentioned in other reviews to warrant caution. Proceed with tempered expectations and an open schedule.

Cornish Pasty offers some incredibly delicious pies, with the Royale with Cheese being a standout—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly satisfying. The menu has a great variety of options, but unfortunately, several key items were missing during my visit (no lamb, beef, or greens available). It was disappointing to see the selection so limited.

To top it off, I ordered a German beer that tasted spoiled, which was another letdown. The bathrooms were in rough shape—disgusting, with vulgar writings on the walls that really detracted from the overall experience. I hope these issues get addressed because the food itself is solid, and with a bit more attention to the details, this place could be great!

Service kinda saved it, with jokes and smiles, thanks to Natalia, however took long enough, knowing that we were a second occupied table in the house.

This strikes a balance between calling out what was good (the pies) while being honest about the negative aspects.

I am from Cornwall, born Cornish and lived there for the first 26 years of my life. I was passing through flagstaff and was surprised to see a Cornish Pasty place, and had to try it out, with my mum and dad.
The atmosphere was not what I was expecting, but not bad. None of the staff were Cornish but were nice and friendly.

Then came to the food. I tried to keep an open mind as I had been let down before by places boasting that they made pasties. The first photo shows what a traditional Cornish pasty looks like - no frills, nothing fancy, perfectly crimped and baked to a perfect brown flaky consistency.
The second photo is what I received at the Cornish Pasty Company.

3 of these and a round of drinks came to $85.

They were cold and not enjoyable to eat. I also had a soup that was barely warm and “oven chips” that I can only describe as ‘over cooked’, however, the staff informed me that this was how they were supposed to be.

The staff were nice and took the soup and fries off our bill. They didn’t take the pasties off as we did eat the majority of it. At least know if you do decide to try this place, the staff will be more than happy to reconcile.

I would suggest the cooks take some time to actually train themselves on how to make pasties. There are plenty of good videos online from ol Cornish mums and grannies showing you how to make, bake and crimp a proper Cornish pasty.

Inside it looks like a college bar. They serve meat pies. Large and unique kinds. i am puzzled by the crust. Flaky, crusty, and yet is sturdy enough to be handheld. Absolutely delicious, great bartender. Check it out!

My mom and I ate here and it was so so good! I ordered the chicken pot pie and my
mom ordered the vegan oggie and she loved it. I definitely recommend eating here. The inside is so cute and it reminds me of lord of the rings. 10/10! 🥰🤗😇😋

I was a little skeptical going in but the pasties were really tasty. The crust was perfectly cooked and the filling in the vegan New Mexico Hatch Chili pasty was very flavorful. I’m not a vegan but chose this one, nonetheless, because it sounded interesting. Didn’t disappoint. The spanakopita appetizer was also perfectly cooked, very flavorful and accompanied by a very tasty tsadziki sauce. I’ll eat here again.

Such a fun and yummy concept! The menu offers a huge variety of food and drink options. The server was so nice, relaxed and prompt serving the whole patio alone. The patio vibe was absolutely beautiful too.

Never heard of this type of pastry but man was it tasty!
The French dip was on point! We also tried the Cottage pie and Ruben. Everything was delicious. The breading was flaky and buttery. They put loads of meat in there and it was all cooked to perfection! Our server was super helpful cause the menu is huge. We will definitely return to try more they next time we're on town!
