This was a perfect 4 night stay for us after experiencing the city life in Seattle and Portland. We had some of our best sleep here and we made sure to take advantage of everything Coos Bay and surroundings have to offer. Our room “the garden” was very spacious and comfortable. Madge and Matt gave us a warm welcome and we very much enjoyed our delicious breakfasts. Good luck in the years to come. Merci!

Coos Bay Manor bed and breakfast ||This beautiful historical home has many charms, including the welcoming hosts and staff. The owners live onsite and are knowledgeable about the history of the house and past occupants. The rooms are tastefully furnished with period furniture and lavish wall coverings. The bed was comfortable and the throw rugs in the bathroom were wonderfully plush. Heat is supplied through beautiful old radiators. Not knowing how to regulate the temperature I used the windows to cool the room. The door to the rooms locks on inside. Guests are provided with a key to the front door of the house, which remains locked. However, the room doors do not lock from the outside, leaving belongings at risk when you are not in the room. ||The manor is situated in a hilly section of Coos Bay and involves two sets of stairs to access the front door. The first set of stairs is old, in poor repair, and lacks a handrail. The second set has a wobbly handrail. The bedrooms are located on the second floor, so it is necessary to navigate them to reach your room. We were offered assistance with our bags but the only person available was also caring for an infant, so I didn’t feel comfortable asking. Upon registering I was told there was parking in the back that didn’t require as many stairs. I went to move my car only to find all the parking spaces were full. ||A glass of complimentary wine is provided in the evening. The second-floor landing has water, glasses, a refrigerator, a wine cooler, and implements. A lovely coffee/tea service is provided in your room at 7 AM. ||Breakfast is served in the dining room at tables separated by party but close enough to visit with other guests. The tables were attractively set. The first course was fresh strawberries and pineapple, along with a choice of juices and coffee/tea. The main course was a breakfast sandwich. There was a choice of bacon or sausage, served on a homemade sourdough English muffin, fried egg, and a mixture of sautéed vegetables. It was served with a small helping of diced potatoes. It looked sad on the plate. The presentation would have been improved had it not been served as a sandwich, rather separate items. It was difficult to eat as the vegetables made the sandwich drippy. The English muffin was heavy, and the potatoes were the frozen variety and cold. ||This is a mixed review however, my travel companion who had not stayed in a b & b before was quite impressed. The friendliness of the owners and staff compensated nicely for any negatives.

We had some of our best sleep during our Pacific North West trip at Coos Bay Manor. We stayed 4 nights in the comfortable « Garden » room and took advantage of all this region had to offer. We very much appreciated Madge’s hospitality and warmth as well as the copious breakfasts Matt served every morning.

OUTSTANDING!!!! We have stayed in many B&B's over the years and this gem was in our top two for sure! From the warmth and feeling of home to the scrumptious chef prepared breakfast. The rooms are gorgeous and Madge and Dave are just a cut above! So warm and gracious. We rarely go to same one as we like to try new ones , but we will be back to The Coos Bay Manor hopefully every year! Thank you Madge and Dave!

So, we were there just 8 short months ago for the first time. We came back and spent a whole week this time. Stayed in a different room. The feeling of home and warmth were the reason we came back. The linens and pillows are to die for. The best naps I have ever taken. Fresh coffee at the door every morning and the most amazing breakfast you can imagine cooked by chef Matt. We have stayed at many B&B's and this one is right up at the top. There is a very friendly mascot named penguin we have grown very fond of as well. We will be back! Thanks Madge, Dave and Matt:)

Since our Thanksgiving plans had to change (thanks, Covid!) we decided to go visit Coos Bay, Oregon on the Adventure Coast. The Coos Bay Manor B&B was recommended by a friend and we found it to be a perfect place to unwind and unplug for a night. The bed and linens were amazing, as were the pillows! The room was huge and nicely arranged with period anitques and huge windows. There wasn't a TV in the, but we were happy to read and appreciate the quiet. We enjoyed having coffee/tea delivered outside our door before we went down for an amazing chef-made breakfast. I'm still thinking about the fig-cherry compote on the pancakes...|The hosts were nice to chat with as were the other guests during breakfast before we headed out to explore the rocky shores of Cape Arago!

My partner and I decided to end the summer with a tour of the southern portion of the Oregon Coast. Coos Bay was selected as our base. And the Coos Bay Manor House was that perfect base. We tried out two rooms - the Mulligan and the Colonial. Each room is uniquely furnished with period but very comfortable beds and furniture. Charming.||One highlight was the breakfast. Chef Matt prepared sumptuous meals with a flair truly rare in B and Bs. We will be back!
