I loved this place! Everything about it was perfect. No offense to coastal towns, but everywhere you go there is a nautical theme and everything smells like seafood, this place did not smell and there was no nautical themed decor other than the name of it. It was very clean, cozy, comfortable, friendly, and probably the best white macadamia hazelnut latte I have had in my life. I ordered the Jalapeño popper breakfast bagel and it was delicious. I definitely will go back.

If you are looking and hungry for an amazing breakfast, Compass Rose Cafe is a must stop in Brookings, Oregon. The food is so very delicious and very well prepared at a reasonable price. Service was fast and I did not have to wait long. The staff were so friendly and polite. The atmosphere of the cafe was very inviting. It was very comfortable. I stayed after I finished my breakfast and enjoyed drinking my Mocha which was also prepared very well. Everything Compass Rose Cafe puts out is of high quality from the ingredients to the staffing.

Our party of 5 scrunched into a smaller table in this moderately full cafe for breakfast this morning. To our surprise they were so accomadating that they made up a table for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. They had little games at their tables that our family enjoyed playing while we sipped our hot chocolates and ate delicious macaroons and carrot cupcakes! What a pleasant way to wait for our breakfast of avocado toast, biscuits and gravy and the most devine jalapeno bagel sandwich! Amazing! Delicious! Wonderful atmosphere and rad interior decorating! You must try!

While on vacation we always try to find small stores and restaurants. Boy, was this place worth it. Husband ordered the Italian tuna with tortilla soup and I had the hazelnut stuffed French toast! I also had the mocha latte! EVERYTHING was good! Husband said that it was the best tuna sandwich he'd had! Wonderful and friendly people and environment! Definitely recommend! We will come here again in passing!

I've been to 42 states and had coffee and a breakfast sandwich in everyone of them. This place blew my socks off. By far the best sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I have no idea how they made the eggs but it was so fluffy, lite and delicious. I also got a mocha and by far one of the best ones I've had in the PNW. I drove over 6 hours to get down here and I'll be doing again just for breakfast and a coffee down here. 10-10 would highly recommend.

My family and I spent a few days in Brookings so we tried different spots each day. Compass Rose Cafe was a huge hit with our party of 7. Aside from the unwelcoming gestures & looks from locals, the staff really made up for it. The staff was helpful, patient, welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and offered great variety of pastries. We had the waffle platter, 2 tuna melts, a jalapeño bagel sandwich, an egg in a basket, a burrito and several of their coffees & chai. We also tried their delicious apple fritter, apple strudel, triple berry tarte, carrot cupcake & their macarons. Everything was perfect, the portions are great, the flavor is perfect, freshness is on point and the options are amazing. We expressed our satisfaction to the owner (forgot to get her name) and she was very kind and sweet I wish I lived closer!

Amazing food, good coffee, really lovely people working there, and our dog was served her own (free!) scrambled egg and bowl of water like a queen guest. You can really feel the amount of love put into this cafe.
