Commons Coffehouse is located down in Gilbert within a cool modern building housed on the campus of Redemption Church. The building is large, bright, and open, letting in tons of natural light through the garage door style windows.

Reading my book inside, along with a nice Lotus energy based drink in front of the large windows, was heavenly. Then I was ready for lunch and to head outdoors. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, even checking on me throughout my stay.

With a sandwich menu made with Boar's Head meats and Noble bread you can't choose wrong. They also have burgers and a quesadilla. I took my savory Italian ciabatta panini outside to enjoy the perfect AZ fall weather and views of the large grass lawn. The tasty sandwich and peaceful atmosphere was just what I needed for a chill day off.

Great service, great space. The interior is roomy and sunny, yet its temperature is cool and comfortable. Plenty of options for sitting down with your laptop, from tables and chairs, to wide cushy chairs, to barstools with a laptop bar.

As a mobile notary, I'm always looking for places to go while between appointments or to meet clients.

I visited this coffee shop/ cafe today to do a little work, and WOW! It's such a great space! My coffee was delicious and the avocado toast was, too!

Highly recommend if you are in the area of Elliot and Mesa Dr.

This place is beautiful. Not a "cozy" coffee shop, but one with a great big glass wall overlooking a green field (perfect to let your kiddos run around in!). The coffee is amazing (and I'm from Seattle so the bar is high) and the food is great. (I had a salad). The baristas are really kind and it's a great spot to meet friends and linger or work on your laptop.

Really neat place that is kind of tucked away. Large space indoors and outdoors. Great food and drinks. Friendly service. Large grass field out back for kids to play. Large common area indoors to work on your computer.

What a hidden gem! I accidentally found this place on Reddit while looking for a quiet place to study while I was in the Gilbert area. Compared to other coffee shops it was much quieter, and the staff was very amicable, not mention the coffee was phenomenal! If I am ever back in the area I know exactly where to go.

Excellent homemade vanilla scone and decaf berry tea. Very reasonable prices. Unlimited refills on iced tea. A quiet place to get work done. I wish they were open more hours and days!

Great tasting and good quality coffee and food! They are gluten friendly. Not sure if celiac safe though. Good place to bring kids as there is a big grassy area north of the building and a playground on the Southside.
