Let me preface by saying the staff was great, helpful and friendly. Lobby looked clean. Then we were assigned our room. The smell hit us as we walked in the door. Not sure what it was but it was unpleasant and strong. Turned on the air in hopes to help diminish the odor but it seemed to stir it around. The carpets and furniture looked grungy. Stains were on the walls like a bad crime scene had happened but the clean up was rushed. Pillows were some of the most uncomfortable I’ve had and seemed to be the size of a couch pillow. It was later when we checked in after a long day of driving plus we had prepaid. Looking back I wish we had left. It was hard to sleep with the musty odor and woke up at 4:30 am thinking I just wanted to shower and leave asap. Again, staff was friendly upon leaving. Give them 5 stars. Room zero. We would never, ever, go back.

The beds were very comfortable, and amazing pillows. The hallways smelt like weed, and it’s definitely not as nice as the pictures made it look. Plus someone brought there dog, and they made them put there dog in there car and leave it there for the night. Breakfast was good, just a normal hotel breakfast. When we first arrived an Indian man was sitting in a van staring at us the whole time, almost like he was seeing if we had more people then what we said. It was very creepy, and made me very uncomfortable. He was waiting on his wife to get off work. He literally kept staring at me, and didn’t care when I looked back at him. Nothing made him stop staring unless my husband looked at him, then he would turn his head for a sec and then start staring again. It was so creepy we considered finding a new hotel, but knew we would lose our money.

Stopped here on our summer road trip. We like CI&S because they tend to have larger rooms and a good breakfast. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE! All of us slept soundly. The a/c kept the room nice and cool. Breakfast in the a.m. was standard hotel fare and was kept up well. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stop a bit off 56. Much cheaper on weekends than other Birmingham offerings and quite nice.
Spotless rooms, decent hot breakfast and FABULOUS smelling and super-comfortable sheets & towels. My only negative is Housekeeping uses way too much deodorizer. I'm usually not sensitive at all to scent, but the room smelled as if the whole place was drenched in Febreeze. Not worth complaining about for me but if this is an issue for you, check your room.

The location was great. Restaurants, are a short walk away. Good spot to park RV, trailer, or Uhaul. Also, has electric car chargers in the parking lot.

Was told it had truck parking so I booked the room. I get there and all the truck parking was taken. If you need to park a rig get there early as possible.

In a safe spot. Easy access to I-20.
Nice selection of restaurants within 1/2 mile.

The king size bed was the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on.

Modest "included" breakfast.
My wife was pleased there was a tub ?

The only complaint was the lightning in the bathroom. It only has one light that made it kinda dark.

This hotel is in a good area and has gas stations and restaurants very close by. In fact, there is a Logan's Roadhouse right next to it. They were friendly at the counter and the hotel was fine. It was slightly dated, but it was clean and totally fine. And, the Wi-Fi was good, which is pretty important to me as I travel for my work.
