Overall, I enjoyed the food, and I recommend anyone who likes soul food to give it a try. If you are looking for something quick and have the same taste as a good home cooked meal to make a stop here. We ate here for dinner, didn't get a chance to try any breakfast or lunch. Staff was very friendly and welcomed everyone that entered the restaurant. It's really cute inside, you notice the greenery and digital art on the ceiling. It's almost set up as a buffet style but they serve you. We had the Salmon dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans for a side and the smothered fried chicken with macaroni and sweet potato souffle. Each dinner came with a corn bread, and they gave big portions. I didn't care for the chicken, but it was okay. Everything had good flavor, seasoned well and not salty. The sweet potato souffle was delicious, and I didn't need dessert after because that took the place of sweets. We had the strawberry lemonade that is manufactured in Tucker GA, and it was so good. (I did get the red velvet cake but we haven't tried it yet.)

Collard Greens Cafe is incredible! The food was so good. Everything we tried was packed with flavor. But what really made our visit special was Mo at the register. She gave me and my family the best recommendations, and they were all spot-on. She was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Honestly, Mo just made our day. We’ll definitely be back!

I wanted to love this place, I think I just came a little too early for dinner. My macaroni looked nothing like the recent pictures that show melty cheese sauce. I had baked dry and built up cheese. Greens were good, meatloaf was… generous, but nothing really blew me away and nothing was hot. My corn muffin was hard but tasted good. The prices were also high compared to my expectations of a southern place that did not seem to be looking to surprise me.

However, I could tell it was all homemade and that speaks volumes. That means it’s better for my body and soul and doesn’t leave me feeling sick or greasy. The restaurant is immaculate. The music is a little loud for me with the TV playing news but I survived.

If I am in the area again, I want to try the turkey wings, squash, and cabbage based on looks!

I hadn’t ever heard of this place but was in the area with a friend that recommended we try it so I did. I was not disappointed. The setup is cafeteria/buffet style where you share what you’d like and they fix it for you. Overall it was fine. I really enjoyed the turkey wing & black eye peas. I took off stars as there were flies (probably from outside) as we stood around the line, the sweet tea for the beverages was out and I (and others) had to ask for and wait on cornbread muffins.

It is a small place and a small outlet but do not let that deter you from visiting this place. The food is very tasty! I had the catfish plate with Mac n cheese (delicious) spicy cabbage and corn bread. My friend had the pork chop plate with Mac n cheese and collards. The portions are good and every thing was well seasoned. The service was kinda slow but only because they were soooo crowded. We went on a Sunday after my games! Well worth the wait and reasonable priced. Go check them out

UPDATE
They have moved to a new location which is only just down the street so still easy to find.
I came and got the catfish plate again they have went up on the price it's $25 for this dinner plate. Fish still as good bit the cabbage was kind of bland this time. I would definitely still recommend this place but I just won't get catfish next time.
Enjoy

Thank you for allowing the alumni of the Albany State University-DeKalb County Area Chapter to have our monthly meeting and the honor to patronize your business for Black History Month. I had the whiting fish sandwich meal. Very delicious and flavorful. Will definitely be ordering again.

Hey if you like southern cooking and soul food you gotta go. The food is really good and when you get it from the ready to go service line they do load up the to go containers! You get lot of delicious food. Just be careful and read the prices on the meals. The meats very widely. I was shocked that the meal with short ribs was over $20. That was too much. But it was good eatin. I also had the whole chicken wings. Those were good also. I enjoy it. It will warm you up and fill you up.

👎👍My first experience at CGC old location I wasn't impressed with the food or cost. But their kitchen wasn't completely renovated, so I gave it a pass.

👎👎Recently went to new location needing a quick meal, pulled menu up online, 3 item veggie plate price $9.99. I was five mins away, get to restaurant, knew exactly what I wanted, ordered two 3 item veggie plates.
Get to register total came to $36 w/tax! (My mistake for not looking at in-store menu).
Explained to cashier online price says $9.99, she said no they're $15.99, I looked at wall menu, correct.
(I assumed since CGC regularly advertise on radio and posting billboards their online info would be updated).
I paid the bill, got home and ate thee most untasteful, unseasoned meal ever! Surely, they know this and are seeking to cater to a certain clientele that don't know any better.

But Iykyk, Magnolia Room in Tucker is pricey, but the food is absolutely delicious.
I won't be coming back to CGC, not even for the convenience. I tried✌️.

Go up
