Stopped here for lunch on our drive home to Vegas. The food was awesome! Will definitely be stopping here in the trips home from now on! We had the fish and shrimp combo and the rum shrimp. Everything was fried beautifully, not greasy. The home made tartar sauce was to due for! The staff were friendly and hustled! Had a great experience.

Intended on eating at the Black Bear in the same center. Long wait there so we walked over to Coconut Joes.
Fast service, good fish and chips.
Interior was a bit garish with the lighting.
If we pass through Bakersfield, we would try them again.

Wonderful experience in Bakersfield!!!!! We came at 20:15, and they accepted us, evening knowing they are closing at 20:30. The service is super friendly, prices are more than correct, and meal is very very good!!!! Highly recommend!

Had not been here for a long time but it is one of our favorite place to hang out with family and friends. Tha place is still as good and the ambience is as good as ever. The receptionist is so friendy and professionally answered the questions of our family who are new to this place, in no time we got our orders and sitted in a very cozy table. My grandson was so happy and excited with all the displays he sees around the restaurant ,It did not take long when our food was served, professionally presented, warm and ready to eat.The drinks were easy to access. The sevice staff always follow up on our needs with a smile. A very wonderful experience to have a family dinner. For sure we will always be coming back for more.

Pros- The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice and overall the restaurant was clean.

Cons- The food! Maybe it was an off day but NOTHING was fresh. The food looked very appealing but had no salt, no flavor, the sides tasted like they came out of a can, just NOT good!

Beer batter for the win. Wish I got a better photo but it'll have to do. Shrimp was great, fish was good, small for the price but texture and flavor were on point. Liked the coleslaw, tartar wasn't overpowering, and had a lovely light Dill flavor. For the price of 22 including a beer I'd call it a very fair trade! Really cool atmosphere in an unassuming strip mall and some friendly, helpful service!

Son liked his burger and onion rings (looked homemade). I was excited about lobster roll but it was a fake plain seafood salad in a plain roll, no lobster. It was bland also but the fried shrimp and clam chowder saved the meal. I DO NOT recommend the lobster roll but all else is good.

There were 10 in our group this time and we have all eaten here before several times and it's always good. The only issue this time was that the fried fish was a little greasy.
