WOW! The best three letters to describe this B&B. Nancy is a fantastic host, taking great care of the house and the guests who stay here. It's very close to the University of Cincinnati, making it perfect if you're here for work or studies. The house is beautifully decorated in the style of the early 20th century. The breakfast! Another WOW! I’m Basque, so I think I know quite a bit about food and cooking, and I can definitely say that breakfast here is amazing... If you come to Cincinnati, you won’t regret staying here. Simply the best!

This place is absolutely a gem. Nancy is a great host! We arrived to a gracious, warm welcome including wine and home baked brownies. The house is gorgeous and in wonderful proximity (3 easy blocks) to Ludlow Garage. Breakfast was fresh cooked and classy. We will certainly make this our place of choice when staying in Cincinnati from here on out.

I have traveled all over the world, and the stay at Clifton House was memorable and special in many ways. The rooms are not only comfortable, but decorated with theme coordinated art and furniture. Breakfast was something that I would expect at Buckingham Palace, served on China plates and cut glass. Everything was top quality and cooked to perfection.
Nancy is a very gracious host, and makes you feel like visiting grandma with home cookies/brownies and other snacks out. The home should be on the register of historic places, Nancy took the time to share with us the history of the home. Not just a hotel overnight, but a total experience.

Our stay at Clifton House was among out best when traveling. The house is attractive and very comfortable, accommodating for overnight as well as simply relaxing between family visits. Nancy's breakfast is beautifully presented, nutritious and delicious. We will visit Cincinnati again in the coming months, visiting family including a recently-arrived granddaughter and will stay at Clifton House again.

we has a wonderful stay at this B & B. It is a great old home in a neighborhood full of them. the rooms are clean and comfortable. The wrap around porch is large and very nice to sit on. We spent most evenings talking with a glass of wine and recapping our day and planning the next. The hostess, Nancy does a great job! She always has a story and the history of where we went she is so knowledgeable about the area and fun to listen to. she has treats available in the kitchen as well as wines available 🍷 The breakfasts were so good best I've had in a B &B. there is a nice area 2 blocks from the B & B with restaurants small shops we would definitely recommend this place |we also took a bus tour of the city it was very nice. Drove around the area looking at some of the amazing homes and through the Spring Grove cemetery it is filled with huge markers also the art gallery of Cincinnati was worth a trip

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Clifton house. Our host went above and beyond in several ways. She insisted we bring our expensive tandem bicycle into her kitchen for security. She gave us great advice about local restaurants. She shared her experiences and listened to ours. We had great conversations with her and with the other guests. The house itself is a lovely old home with large spacious places. We slept well on the comfortable bed. The walls are decorated by beautiful paintings by a local artist. Her breakfasts were wonderfully prepared and presented. Our main interest in visiting Cincinnati after riding our tandem on the Little Miami Trai, was to visit the wonderful Zoo and Botanical Garden which was only a little over a mile's walk from the house. During our visit, we also attended a jazz concert featuring Robert Glasper at the famous Ludlow Garage which was only a few blocks away.

Nancy is wonderful. The house is beautiful and set up like the time period of its birth.
Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. There is a decent collection of books to read, and the breakfast is a lovely affair.

Visiting professors and particularly writers from all over the world are frequently put up here by the University of Cincinnati. The owner has many stories to tell about the house, Cincinnati history, and people she has hosted over the 23 years she has been running this b&b. Conversations over breakfast are always interesting.
