Perfect getaway for my partner, our dog, and me! The ocean views are absolutely stunning and the accommodations were spotless and well-equipped. Simy was a fantastic host - super responsive and welcoming. Our pup loved exploring the area and we spent hours relaxing on the deck listening to the waves. The drive out is winding but totally worth it for this hidden gem. Already planning our return trip!

My family and I stayed at the Cliff House for six days and absolutely LOVED it. The view from the cliff overlooking the black sand beach was stunning, truly one of the most beautiful sights I’ve EVER seen. We loved having a direct trail that led straight down to the beach, and it made the whole place feel special and connected to nature.

The beds were very comfortable, and the full kitchen made it easy for our family to cook and enjoy meals together. The hot tub was totally the cherry on top!

The location is perfect, close to everything in Shelter Cove, but still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. Simy, the owner, was so kind and responsive throughout our stay. The checkin and the entire stay was smooth and stress-free.

We left feeling relaxed and recharged. I would 100% definitely come back and do it all again.

I spent the most magical Mother’s Day here & couldn’t have asked for anything more. The host was very communicative & accommodating, the rentals were well stocked with kitchen wear & immaculately clean, the hot tubs were perfectly clean, the views were beautiful, the beaches were pristine, everyone in town was welcoming & friendly. There’s a general store not too far away that has anything you could possibly need. This is my 2nd time staying in shelter cove, @ 2 different properties hosted by the same people & I will absolutely be back. I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing fun memory.

We recently stayed at Cliff House’s Magnificent Room, and it was nothing short of perfect for a weekend respite! The amenities were thoughtfully curated, making our stay cozy and rejuvenating. The ability to walk to the nearby Black Sand Beach was a delightful surprise, and the outstanding views from the room added a touch of magic to every moment.

The fireplace was the perfect cozy retreat after exploring, but the hot tub truly stole the show. Watching the sunset and later stargazing from the warmth of the tub after exploring hikes along the Lost Coast was an unforgettable experience—pure bliss!

The weather was incredible, even though we had been concerned about winter storms. It turned out to be a beautiful weekend, and the hosts added to the charm of our stay with their wonderful local recommendations. Despite venturing out to enjoy the area, we loved the convenience of the well-stocked kitchen, which allowed us to prepare a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal.

The hospitality was warm and inviting, and it’s clear that the hosts put a lot of care into ensuring guests have a memorable stay. We will absolutely be coming back again! Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a peaceful and scenic retreat.

I have stayed with Simy at the Oceanview Cliff House for several years and am never disappointed. Simy is incredible with customer service and always make sure we're set up for a comfy stay. I have stayed here with a couple friends, as well as with my partner and the flat works appropriately in both instances. The view is UNBEATABLE, the hot tub is elite and the vibe of the interior is welcoming. We always stay here after a week of hiking on the Lost Coast and it just doesn't get any better. Look no further! 10/10 would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our visit and host, Simy, so much we came back a few weeks later and stayed at another location, the “Mango Tango” house.

The amenities are top notch and inviting. We felt like everything we needed was waiting for us and our vacation could start immediately.
Additionally, Simy is so attentive, kind and welcoming, you feel you could ask any question, be given great recommendations and he is giving his all to give you a wonderful experience.

We will definitely be back again. It’s becoming our home away from home!
