Food was amazing chicken was cooked to perfection. Hush puppies was good. I wast a fan of the banana pudding it taste like the cheap box mix that they tryed to make pretty or more appealing. The bathroom was only 1 bathroom per sex so if it’s busy then you will have to wait in line. The silverware was dirty so get plastic

I absolutely love this restaurant!!!! First time here and had the pork sandwich. It was sooo tender and the bun seemed steamed, it was so soft and yummy!!
The staff here are outstanding. I eat out constantly and the service here is exceptional, especially the guy taking orders today. He was extremely friendly and knew the menu very well.

We ate today at lunch, Halloween day.

The customer service at this restaurant is below par. I had a To-Go order and went to where the To-Go orders were sitting on the counter. Several times a young lady walked past or looked at me as she was preparing an order or giving it to a dine-in customer. I finally asked another worker if he didn't mind checking the bags for my name, it was there. Different type of system needed. Got home and the smoked wings look horrendous. Overcooked or old, not sure which. My receipt says ranch for the wings, got BBQ sauce instead. Will not be returning here.

Did not enjoy this trip. Food looked great. Meats were warm. Sides were hot but not well seasoned. I will have to revisit this place another time before I write them off as a no go!!

Emerald welcomed us with a smile and a heart. Took our orders and had great suggestions. Good came out HOT and fast! Rack of ribs, baked beans, pork sandwich, fries, and the classic one and only Cornbread pudding. Mmmm.
Music was calm and happy blues rock.
Only downfall: extremely sticky floors. My shoe stuck in front of drinks and again at our table.

This is my favorite City BBQ location. The brisket is always moist and smoked to perfection. Love this place. Kierre is always so good to me and my family and we love him so much! He’s so helpful and makes us feel like family here! Be sure to try the baked beans with brisket too and the banana pudding. I don’t even like banana pudding or bananas and LOVE the banana pudding here. Get some! I want some more just thinking about it now. 🤤

Food was delicious. My only complaint is that there was no TV. The website shows TV's in the background and that's one of the reasons we choose this place. We were coming to watch the game and eat good food. The good food was there.

Honestly, I'm super disappointed after having read all of these reviews.

The meats: The double brisket came out at ROOM TEMPERATURE!! The flavor was ok (heat probably would have helped) and the meat quality was fine, but the portion size is a little small.

The sides: The mac and cheese was also room temperature (cheese tasted like the cheese they put on cheddar popcorn, bleh) and the fried Okra had been sitting for at least 15 or 20 minutes. Corn pudding was OK but didn't have much depth of flavor. Cornbread had a cakey texture without the sweetness, but again, didn't have much flavor either. That's not my style but whatever.

Everything else: The sauce bar had no cups, 1/3rd the sauces were empty, and the sweet tea was out. The floor when you first walk in is sticky and the booth tables were too.

I'll give the folks that work here that they were friendly and kept the line moving quickly, but I will travel to the other side of Buckhead for DBA BBQ now that they've left the area. At $55 for two people, City BBQ just isn't a good value for the quality of the food.
