Such a hidden gem! I am convinced this is the best kept secret in Oklahoma! We went in March when the redbuds are blooming and the view from our room was gorgeous. It was nice and quiet. Enjoyed the pool and hottub and just sitting on the patio by the pool enjoying the silence and the view. Close enough to town and to the park with all its beauty, but far enough out to be peaceful. We saw quite a few bison at the viewpoint in the park on the east side of the road. We will definitely be back!

This place had so much good but so much bad. To start off this place is in a gorgeous location but so far from civilization. It’s in the countryside but not on the lake like the website claims. They do have hiking, the trail is well groomed and they do a very good job of warning you of rattlesnakes. The building itself is a little weird but nice inside. On the website they boast about the amenities but it was as if nothing existed. The spa was closed our whole stay. The pool and hot tub were both nice and heated. The gym was huge with a lot of equipment. The locker room and sauna were nice. But the girls steam room was broken. They also claim to have pedal boats, canoes, a ropes course, volleyball, and that it is right on the lake, when in reality we witnessed them tell someone that they do not have pedal boats and there is no lake access. They instead have a pond that is blocked off by a gate. There was a ropes course but it was closed. We never saw the pond, volleyball, or canoes they claim to have. When we arrived the ladies at the front desk were very kind and let us check in a few hours early. Our room was well cleaned and very big. It was a nice room! Our only complaint is that we were promised a couch in our room along with our 2 queen beds. There was no couch and when we asked for a roll away bed a man told us that it would be a fire hazard to have one in our very large room. We asked another employee later and turns out it wasn’t a fire hazard. It’s a nice hotel but nothing special. Not very glitz and glamorous and nothing like what they boast about online.

Exactly what we needed at a great price- we stayed in executive King suite (under $200) for family of five. Tons of space and a balcony with full lounging space and view of sunset. We wanted to be near the Rec area after a drive from New Mexico so location was great. Given other reviews, we were prepared with our own food (but once I saw the great balcony space I wished I’d also brought a bottle of wine!) the family was able to enjoy the pool and locker rooms with steam room and saunas the first night and then in the morning swam laps in the pool and used the weight room. The gym/weight room is amazing (like a full gym) and my teenaged boys claimed this the best place we’ve stayed yet. Also the bathrooms with spacious showers and a fancy bath! Everyone stated beds comfy, even the rollaway. We explored the Rec area before moving along to our next stop, loved the nature center and a dip at Little Niagara Falls in cold clear spring waters. | Things that would have improved the stay- dishes in the suite. Alcohol for sale in the food mart. Breakfast. | Everyone who was working was super friendly and helpful. Only a few other guests which made it feel like a private resort. I understand it is an overflow for the Artesian- we were given coupons for Artesian area but didn’t get there to explore. We didn’t have time to explore the outdoor trails or amenities. We would return again if exploring Oklahoma again.

Beautiful, tranquil, peaceful site with so many things to do. Room was very clean. Staff was amazing & so accommodating. We will definitely return!! Breast place for weekend away or vacation or parties. Beautiful rooms & facilities for every occasion! We were very impressed!

We needed a place close to Sulphur and the Artesian was booked. We just needed to basically sleep so we didn't do outdoor activities but the views are beautiful. Wish we planned for a hike. When I booked I was told no breakfast so we planned for that. Staff was very nice and the room was comfy and clean. The pool was heated and there is a hot tub and sauna in the locker rooms. The gym was the best I've ever seen in a hotel. Plus there is an indoor walking track. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful experience here. Staff was , rooms were clean, and the views were beautiful. They have the best gym in a hotel I’ve ever seen, nice pool, nice hiking trail. Only thing that would improve this place would be some kind of breakfast option. We would definitely stay here again.

Second time staying at this location and I have zero complaints. I have had the opportunity to stay in the king suite both times and highly recommend it if you are someone who is in need of the extra space during travel. My family and I rented one of the meeting rooms for a family reunion that accommodated all of our needs during our time there. The staff was helpful and did not give us any grief at all, the grounds were kept clean, and I am continually impressed by the retreat center. Since my last stay, they have opened a pizza kitchen and it has a good selection of pizza options. The retreat center is about a 20 minute drive from Sulphur and Davis so if you are traveling and planning a "retreat" but would like to plan for snacking/drinks in your room, you might take note and snag these items on your way to the retreat center so that you don't have to make an additional trip into town. Lots to do in the area as far as activities, I know that my family and I will be back. Thank you to the staff for providing great service and a friendly atmosphere my family and I during our stay.

Be prepared to bring your own food. The retreat does not have a restaurant and the "lounge" is only open during special events and at an extra charge. The rooms are pleasant, the outdoor surroundings lovely and serene, but bring your own wine and picnic basket. You will have to drive into Sulpher and pick up food at local restaurants and bring it back.
