What a great deli and carryout! Stopped in for lunch and had a Cuban. What a great sandwich! I also had some pasta salad, which was amazing. I'm looking forward to trying more off their menu. The customer service was outstanding as well! The fish tanks are a cool touch as well. They're really fun to look at. Don't wait go now!

If you’re in Dayton and haven’t been to Charlie’s Deli on Troy Street, you’re seriously missing out. I just had their Cowboy Burger, and let me tell you—it’s hands-down the most delicious and satisfying burger I’ve ever eaten. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, topped with the right balance of BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and cheese—it’s like a flavor explosion in every bite. And the craziest part? It’s only $8! You won’t find this kind of quality for that price anywhere else.

Charlie’s has definitely set the standard for what a great burger should be. Do yourself a favor and try it—you won’t regret it!

Good honest guy I wanted the German Potato Soup. They did not have any as it’s made fresh and I would have to wait till midday.

The owner was a genuine passionate about his food and kept saying sorry. He did mention that they will be adding more Salad options for non meat eaters like me.

I did not buy anything but will be coming back for the Soup.

The freshest sandwich you'll get anywhere, it's an old school deli where they cut the meat to order and I feel like they make it with love. I recommend trying it out, it doesn't look like much from the outside but the quality and atmosphere inside is top-notch. I feel like you won't be disappointed.

Tried the german potato salad, cabbage roll, Erie coast sub, and the 2 pounder sub. Everything was delicious and the amount of food for the price was incredible. I could see easily paying double the price for a similar sub at other places. Service was fast and friendly! I highly recommend!

A hidden gem for sure. I was given the advice ahead of time to not customize the menu because it's perfect and I couldn't agree more. I've had multiple sandwiches there and the perfectly balanced tastes shouldn't be messed with (allergies aside of course). This is a must go every time I'm in Dayton.

Another great experience at Charlie's deli. It seems I have a problem...I'm hooked. This visit I took my husband. So I was able to try two new things because he got something different then mine. 😆 everything was perfect. Incredible flavors 😋

Do not order from this establishment online around the lunch time hour. I placed an order at 11:50 am 1/29/25. I called at 12:30 pm to see where my order was as I am only 2 miles away. A female answered and stated it would be picked up at 11:55 am I told her it is 12:30 pm now and that i submitted a delivery order online 45 minutes ago. The female had no explanation and proceeded to tell me not to place an order online for an "hour delivery" ...whatever the hell that means. I told the female i didn't do that I ordered at 11:50 am for delivery right now. The female stated he's back there making it now; delivery will be picked up at"12:55PM" and then hung up on me. This will be the last time I ever order from this place. It's rather shocking to have a whole bunch of "rave" reviews yet as a customer I felt like I was dealing with a hole in the wall ghetto establishment with the way I was treated today. I also never got my money back for the canceled order because of this issue so I put in a dispute for the charge.
