Service started off great with a quick greet and then it was nonexistent. Multiple times of having over 20+ minutes in-between checks if food was ok. First drink has ice melted in it and I had to ask for a second. Wanted to order two shots for my other diner and I had to flag down the server after waiting 15 minutes. It looked like she had a 4 table section and during the time she had 3 active until they left and left us as her only table and she continued to not keep her awareness of us. I assume she was at the back chatting with another server which she did multiple times at the server station at the bar. Your side work and socializing should not take priority over guests.

Oh, and the bartenders wear air pods and put their personal belongings in plain view behind the bar, including having their Stanley's on the bar, you can see that in the photos.

Food quality was superb but unfortunately completely ruined by the lack of awareness in the operations from the front of house. We were excited to try out this location, and now we will not come back.

Oh and we saw a manager on the floor for about 5 total minutes during this visit, I would say they correlate.

Would not only not recommend, I would instead recommend to not dine here.

The salsa was fantastic! French dip very good and so was the salmon! Cute and great ambiance with plenty of tv’s. We were in the back and out of site a bit. Super nice waitress!

Quick lunch break at CB7. Sat at the bar and had Bubba serve me with conversation and suggestions on what to try. Had a Swiss mushroom burger and fries, cooked to perfection. Added a nice cold Stella draft and made the afternoon enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, with lots of sports channels to view and was able to get the station updated in front of me. Will need to come back to try some recommended dishes such as the French dip sandwich. Friendly service and place.

Refreshing Lunch Spot in Mountain Brook! ?

Stopped by Charbar 7 in Mountain Brook, AL, for a delightful lunch after a great stroll through the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The grilled salmon salad and mojitos were top-notch! The bartender was super helpful with my food allergies, and Bubba made for great company. I’ll definitely be back!

I had an exceptional dining experience thanks to Courtney, our server! From the moment we were seated, her warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic meal. She was incredibly attentive without being intrusive, making sure our drinks were always full and our food arrived exactly as ordered.

Courtney’s knowledge of the menu was impressive; she offered great recommendations and even tailored her suggestions based on our preferences. Her positive attitude and genuine care for our experience truly made a difference. It's rare to encounter a server who is not only efficient but also so personable and engaging.

If you're lucky enough to be served by Courtney, you’re in for a treat! Her outstanding service elevated our entire dining experience, and I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you, Courtney, for making our visit memorable!

Had a great lunch with friends at Charbar! I had the shaved Brussels salad which came with chicken, cranberries, almonds, bacon, onion, goat cheese ( I changed to Parmesan), brussels sprouts, spring mix, and Italian dressing (I swapped to honey mustard). One friend had the salmon salad, which looked great also, and people were pleased with their burgers and chicken as well. On previous trips, I have had a French dip, fish, and chips, and fish tacos, and have never been disappointed in my food at CharBar! The atmosphere was great, service was friendly and timely, and the restaurant was clean!

We happened to find CharBar randomly. We are visiting from California and we had just landed and needed to find somewhere for dinner this was close to our hotel. To our incredible surprise, this was easily one of the best dinners we have had. I was completely blown away by each dish being perfectly cooked and well balanced with seasoning, acidity, and sweetness. Our server was Niesha, she was extremely warm and welcoming and answered all of our questions. Service from her was great, I did notice reviews that mentioned points of service can be slow, but only really that’s only because the servers also are running food, bussing their own tables while also handling their own sections. If anything, it was great to not be rushed and enjoy our dinner. It was also fantastic to look online and find the Executive Chef and Co Chef are women. We love to see it. Thank you CharBar for a great start to our trip, and thank you Niesha!
