I absolutely loved this place! We stumbled upon it as we were driving from SF to San Diego. I was so exhausted from driving so I made a pit stop in Ojai (wrong turn LOL) and did a quick hotel search to rest for the night. And this was the place we chose! It’s so fun to discover little gems by happenstance. We needed a pet friendly, reasonably priced room for 2 people and a dog, last minute on Mother’s Day. The room was so darling and quirky in a wonderful way. Reminded me of a European hotel, with antique touches, a lovely stain glass window, window shutters and a little private patio to enjoy a coffee in the morning. Free parking, and breakfast (you get to make your own waffles, so cute!) and the location was perfect. I love walking everywhere and this location was great! 2 minute walk to town.
Beds were so comfy and cozy with soft, clean duvet covers. This place really has that neat little charm. There’s a pool, too. Our room had an old school jacuzzi tub, which was so unexpected and fabulous. The place is just cute. I will absolutely come back!

We are repeat clients. We return here because it is fun with is old Spanish architecture and antique furnishings. Not your cookie cutter hotel. Its centrally located. I usually get best rates by calling the hotel directly. And it is pet friendly when we travel with our dog. This quaint place makes me smile.

Charming Spanish hacienda style building, inside and out. Interesting furniture and decor, every room is unique, most with private patios. The art, stained glass works, antique furnishings make the place infinitely interesting. Do be sure to visit the common area space for happy hour or breakfast, and admire the colorful Spanish tile.|The rooms are clean and comfortable. We slept well. We've stayed several times. Hot tub and swimming pool with changing room is private. A stucco wall, also decorated, provides wind protection and privacy. Nicely maintained plantings. |Their website reservation system needed some improvement, but be persistent -- it's worth it. We loved the personal caring attention we received from staff. This is not a large place, and that is a plus.

Room decor was weird and not in a good way. Smelled like smoke. Dark. Horrible lighting. No room to put anything even though room was packed full of furniture.
Price quoted was not final price. For $230 a nite should be a lot better! Would not stay here again! Location is only upside.

The location is is great for walking to the museum and downtown. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ambiance of the inn. We enjoyed our breakfast sitting on the porch beyond the lobby. We plan to stay here on future trips to this area.

We come to Ojai and the Chantico Inn for my daughter's birthday every year. We had a wonderful stay and a fabulous time in Ojai. We love Ojai and the cute shops like Bart's Books,and the Crystal Corner. And we love the Chantico Inn because it's so close to town. Laura

Have to be honest. This place used to be better. It was clean. But the jacuzzi was not working also their fireplace. Maybe their management has been changed. Overall, next time I am trying somewhere else in Ojai.

Great location, easy walk to center of town. Lovely decor to the whole place. Although not a lot of space in the room, it was filled with interesting and unique furnishings and lovely aesthetic touches, as was the common area where breakfast was served. Great hot pool and swimming pool. Robes were even provided in the room. It was quite quiet at night (apart from neighbor's brief shower) and didn't hear any talking or noise from other rooms or outside. The beds were quite comfortable. I heard the tv wasn't working but that certainly wasn't a problem for me and the overall experience was highly positive

The staff were friendly and wonderfully responsive. I had called ahead to ask if hard boiled eggs were available--and there was a bowl of them on the breakfast table every morning. One could also make one's own waffles using a lovely antique looking waffle maker (make sure to use the nonstick spray and don't pour out too much batter), or just ask for their expert help. I also appreciated the fresh fruit and cut strawberries and blueberries, along with a variety of bagels, pastries, doughnuts, and oatmeal packets, milk, almond milk and orange juice, and the sweet breakfast nook adjoining the main dining area.

Chantico Inn will definitely be my first choice to stay the next time I find myself back in Ojai.
