I had always been excited to try this place. Three days ago it was the perfect day to take a walk up Main Street and try it out.

Unfortunately, this place didn’t live up to the hype. My son’s mother got the chicken & waffles, I got the eggs Benedict & Johnny cash sandwich, our son got pancakes with bacon.

The chicken and waffles were flavorless and dry, and turned my sons mothers stomach for the rest of the day.
The eggs Benedict (pictured below) were cold by the time they got to me meaning the hollandaise sauce was coagulated already. The flavor of the sauce was rancid.
They gave my son 1 pancake and two pieces of bacon, and 1 slice of toast.

The prices are high, the portions are small, and the waitress wasn’t rude but definitely had an edginess to her.

2/5 stars, definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Well hot damn!! As a Southern transplant to New England, I never thought I would find a restaurant that could make Cheese Grits as good as I make them AND remind me of home ❤️❤️

Excellent service. It was a busy morning and the restaurant is smaller but once again, THE FOOD is Awesome. The entire staff was kind and engaging. They recognized names and gave equitable service to friends and strangers.

I look forward to coming back and eating here again. Thank you Central Perk

The food is amazing. They make the best grits in town. I'm never disappointed when I go to have breakfast at this little whole in the wall. Today 12/21/24 I went with my husband because I wanted him to experience a little taste 😋 of heaven. They were very busy but handled the crowd very professionally. The breakfast was amazing, but the only downfall was we found two long pieces of hair in my husband French toast. He didn't want me to say anything to the waitress, but I had to because I noticed none of the staff was wearing hair nets, not the cook nor the waitress!!!! Mind you, they all have long hair. I love the food, but I really think they should be wearing a hairnet.

I had the country omelet with decaf coffee today. The coffee was fabulous. The omelet was average. I dipped it in my favorite condiment to pep it up. The price of eggs currently nearly spiked my blood pressure. I paid my bill but became speechless. Hope prices go back to normal soon. Service was quick.

I read somewhere that they have great homemade corned beef hash, they were so right. Fried perfectly and uniquely ground, onions, and a neat potato mix. Relatively smaller restaurant and it was packed. 1 waitress, she'll make you believe a waitress can fly. Great decor and a very welcoming feel, all things considered. Seemed a little longer for my food as i expected, however, everything was cooked perfectly. Over easy eggs were over easy, the wheat toast was buttered nicely, and the hash browns were crisped just as i like. Saracci hot sauce available, but i went with the Frank's Hot Sauce, i put that sh*t on everything!! If you're looking for a great breakfast, Center Perk should be on your list at #1.

We love Center Perk! The food is made with love, where else can you get 4 different kinds of delicious oatmeal? Every time we eat here the eggs are cooked perfectly, the toast is toasted beautifully and the food has lots of flavor. Everything on the plate is placed with purpose and love. I have been going here for many years and very recently it continues to go downhill. Fist, I understand that price have gone up , but $12 for an omelet with nothing else included is outrageous! To top it off the flavor and tastes have been lacking, corned beef hash tastes HORRIBLE (like its out of a can). I will attach a photo of the $12 omelet (if you look closely there were egg shells right on top). Second, the last two times we have been there the waitress is rude and short tempered.

Sadly after many years of visiting here we will not be going back. If I'm getting good food and good service I will gladly pay the higher prices as I want them to succeed. However, with the decline of service and food I can not justify going here.

Haven’t had their lunch, but the breakfast is the best around! Our first choice always, and great service. Also very consistent and reasonably priced. On a scale of one to five, I give it a ten! 😋
