Clean comfortable beds. The heater is old, but efficient. The front desk are super nice people. There is no counter space in the bathroom and the water pressure is awful. But the water was hot.

The owner is truly dedicated to excellence and keeping a clean/tidy motel for his guests. James H posted a review giving this a mediocre rating for “uncomfortable beds, toilet not flushing, etc”. The cleanliness is amazing, better than some other high end hotels. The price…seriously?!? Where a you get a safe and clean room for less than a $100 per night? Yeah the bed was stiffer than normal but overall was super clean, quiet, and absolutely worth the price. Don’t pass on this because it’s a “motel”. These individual owners need your business and finding people who care to give the very best is rare anymore.

We had originally booked through Travelocity and they ended up over booking us here at the Castle rock. Alfonso worked with us and was able to get us a room right as we were headed back to Phoenix. Stayed in touch and called me back right when something was available. Mind you, every hotel in the area was booked. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks Alfonso

Couple at front desk were very kind and accommodating, Rooms are clean, little one was so excited to have a fan in the room to blow on him, just like at home. Very quit room in a busy area. My aunt said that everyone should also know they have the fluffiest towels she has ever used, they are AMAZING! Close to shopping and restaurants, We walked to Los Alteños,just past McDonald's (next door), food was SO good! Would definitely stay again!

Friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms, convenient location, very reasonable price. My friend and I wanted somewhere cheap & comfortable to sleep before our super early-morning departure for Havasupai reservation. Castle Rock Hotel was exactly the right place at the right time. The owner allowed us to leave a suitcase there for a few days at no additional cost. Would definitely stay again if passing through Flagstaff!

The location is excellent. Walking distance to NAU. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The towels were thick and wonderful. The problem was the smell. It was a cleaning product, chemical smell. A throat burning, cough inducing, headache causing, overpowering smell. We unplugged the plug-ins and after 24 hours, with the windows open, it was better but still very pervasive. The Front desk person was very nice. It is next to a Starbucks and had a lot of positives. Because my son & I both woke with headaches on Saturday of family weekend, I can not recommend and won't stay there again.

We were so happy with our stay here. It was restful, spotlessly clean, and the owner went above and beyond to assist us! The area was very convenient for groceries, restaurants, and great coffee!
