Stayed at Casablanca a few times and dined at a few restaurants. I've been to Casa Cafe and it was good on my last visit despite it being so busy. The workers were great.

This time around, I visited on 1/2/25, and there was a long wait. No worries, I appreciated the honesty. However this is where it took a turn. The young man working at the front was just rude on how he spoke to me. A little sassy attitude. Like he was frustrated with being busy. I then asked if I could order to go and he said it'll be over an hour wait for take out food with a stare.

My comment is about delivery. How you speak to people. If my staff spoke like that to customers I would ensure my team is spoke to and or written up. This might not be the industry for you.
At the end, over an hour wait in line with over an hour wait for food. We decided to go elsewhere obviously as we all have choices.

On 1/5/25, I decided to come by for brunch. Our server Jeff was good. It was unfortunate that although they say we can order from the menu front/back (breakfast, lunch, dinner) the chicken wings took long. He kept apologizing. Can't complain if thr kitchen is behind however, if you know that there's a tournament happening in town and you are 100 occupied, why not prepare. More cooks, workers and purchasing to be fully stocked.

The food was good. See my photos.

With that said, I'd still return.

Casa Cafe is located inside Casa Blanca Resort and Casino. Convenient location off 15. Lots of free parking. Handicap and handicap accessible. Good air quality, neat, clean organized. The restaurant is located in the back. There is a view of the garden court and hotel rooms. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable. The wait to be seated was minimal. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. She asked if the seating was okay. Dino the server was great, attentive and personable. It took under 10 minutes for our breakfast. Dino brought out all the condiments for our egg dishes Hubby really liked the egg white veggie omelet. My two egg over medium was cooked just right. You pay at the cashier on the way out. They accept credit cards. The casheir was very friendly and informative.

My family and I tried this restaurant for the first time several years ago while we were passing through Mesquite. Since it was so far back, I don't recall what exactly we ordered during that visit...all I remember was that it wasn't an awful experience to which I didn't mind if we tried this restaurant again some time in the future. Well, that future finally arrived, and my wife and I tried this restaurant during brunch hours on 28 Sep 2024.

The restaurant wasn't that busy which was great because I was starving and didn't feel like waiting to get seated. The service at this restaurant was adequate; our primary server was nice and did a wonderful job - I don't recall her name (maybe Mary?) On the other hand, the folks up front could learn to be a little more friendlier when greeting customers upon entering and exiting...this includes the cashier we had on that day. None of them were disrespectful by any means...but a little smile could go a long way regardless if you feel like being at work or not.

For our food, we ordered the Egg White Veggie Omelet w/Wheat Toast, Short Stack Blueberry Pancakes, Side Order of Bacon, and Deuces Special w/Buttermilk Pancakes. Everything was good, including the coffee; however, we weren't big fans of their bacon. Although it contained an adequate amount of smoke flavoring and salt, the texture was less than adequate - it felt like I was eating very tough beef jerky.

The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was reasonable - I could definitely tell I wasn't paying Las Vegas prices at this restaurant...so it was a refreshing change for us in that sense. The décor was ok - when you look around, it's evident that this restaurant is in need of some updating because it is surely dated (just like the entire CasaBlanca property). Overall, if my family and I decide to stay on this property again, then I may consider eating here another time. Otherwise, chances are I won't drive all the way here from Las Vegas just to eat at this restaurant, when I have plenty of superb brunch places close to me. On the other hand, I will recommend this restaurant to all locals and visitors - it's not the best restaurant you'll try in Mesquite, but it's not terrible either - you get your money's worth here!

All the staff we interacted with were very nice and on the ball! They were busy so there was a bit of a wait. The food was yummy and hot and good size portions. The staff was great and I will eat here again!

Food was delicious! Not bad in price either.
We stayed at the Casablanca and decided to eat here twice. I honestly prefer this over the buffet. Pictured is BLT and the nachos! Great portion sizes too!

It was honestly the worst hotel breakfast food I've ever eaten in my entire life. I couldn't finish the blueberry pancakes– there was a weird unnatural preservative industrialization taste in the pancakes that I couldn't take anymore so I gave up on those.

Next, the hash browns were as cold as the mountains of Siberia. If I had to guess, they were prepared by removing them from the freezer, placing it on a griddle on very high heat, and immediately removed. Crunchy munchy on the outside and soggy doggy on the inside.

And lastly, I could observe that the parfait I shared was prepared hours before it was served to us– from the old fruit to the mushy granola. The yogurt was subpar, but at least we could finish the entire confection.

The person next to me also got the Pile of Whipped Cream™ (with strawberry Belgian waffles on the side) and it was quite entertaining to watch them dig through it like a treasure hunt. I've never seen so much whipped cream on a restaurant item in my days; I could guess they used almost an entire can.

So the experience was. . . well. . let's just say memorable. ☺️

We were passing through Mesquite, and decided to stop at the Hotel Casablanca for lunch. Casa Cafe is the cafe/diner inside the Hotel/Casino. There is a little bit of everything on the menu for anytime of day, like breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I am always a sucker for a French dip type sandwich, so I went with the Prime Rib Dip. When the PRD arrived I was like wow it looks so good. Then I pick it up, and the bottom of the roll seemed way to small, and was soggy from all the juice. I will say the slices of prime Rib were really good. More bad news... The au jus was not flavorful at all. Just tasted like oil. Also the sandwich had no Horseradish sauce as it was described on the menu. Fries were so so. They seemed fresh, and made of real potatoes, but not much flavor on those either. The service was good, and I'm not they type to complain unless it's a really big issue, so I ate my food and never mentioned it.
The prime Rib was on point. If they could just put it on a better roll, add the Horseradish sauce as described, and maybe put some beef flavoring in the au jus, this sandwich could be amazing.

This place was actually amazing. Just passing through Mesquite on my way to Vegas. Looking for a place to stop and eat. After walking in the casino, we second guessed our choice to stop, but went through it anyway. I am very glad we stopped. It was quick to get in and sit down. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. Our food arrived promptly. Get the Italian cheesesteak sandwich. One of the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely eat here again.
