Exceptional service, Cat, Rebekah and the management were super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and our every need met. We rented the Bell Cottage. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The location was good and had no issues parking on the street in front or were welcome to park beside the hotel. The breakfast included was excellent and plentiful. We would definitely recommend and stay again

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The building itself is beautiful, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. Our room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed that made for a great night's sleep. The included breakfast was excellent—they even had a special gluten-free treat for me each morning. There was also plenty of coffee and tea available, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place to stay; very friendly & welcoming staff. They were very sweet & accommodating to us & our small dog. Upgraded our room for free. Love the afternoon wine & cookies! The hotel was very clean & comfortable. Centrally located & much nicer than other places Ive stayed in Eureka. Parking was ample, easy & free. Highly recommend! Will stay here again next time we drive up to visit my son at college.

We had a lovely stay at the Carter Cottage! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, recognized us each day and asked about our daily adventures. We were so appreciative of the little surprises and attention to detail -- we felt like VIPs! The breakfast each day was so delicious -- we really loved the overnight oats and beignets. Our dinner at Restaurant 301 was incredible as well. Carter House is a perfect central location for visiting the Redwoods, Avenue of the Giants, Trinidad Beach, and Fern Canyon -- only 25-45 minutes to some of the best hikes and vistas. Walking to downtown Eureka was easy -- such a cute, quaint town! Thank you to Troy and the entire Carter House staff for a wonderful stay.

We stayed for 4 nights in a Suite while exploring the Redwoods.||The town is full of reproduction Victorian era architecture and some of it is impeccably maintained. There is a homeless problem in the town so be ready for it.||The hotel was once a quality restoration of a period building, today it is somewhat faded grandeur if not shabby. The breakfast is excellent and the staff were helpful and efficient.

Loved this ole Victorian house- was perfect for our family of eight. Enjoyed our evenings with a glass of wine around the fireplace in the living room. Troy was especially helpful with any questions/suggestions. (Alas no ghosts).Complementary breakfast was delicious!|But highlight was the redwoods! Hope to return

I just want to say what an amazing location and the experience was perfect. Kat (or Cat) did a great job in checking me in and also your wonderful bartender as he was full of knowledge and we shared the same taste in drinks. You had one of the most impressive wine lists along with a very well procured Bourbon/Tequilla/Gin selection.| |I know that I will be bringing my wife and kids up sometime this summer as we want to stay there again and this time try the dinner! | |Anyway keep up the great work!

We loved the whole experience staying 3 nights here in Eureka - the inn’s location was perfect and our room really comfortable. Historic Victorians and restaurants close by as well as the waterfront. Friendly helpful staff, amazing breakfasts and a cute bar for socializing in the late afternoon/evening including a fireplace lounge area. Highly recommend staying here, and we shall return!
