I stayed in February and it's such a remote place, from where you have to drive 10 minutes to go to any restaurant. No front desk after 4pm on Saturday. My instructions were left in the mailbox, it was easy. The room was great, loved it. It had a wonderful balcony, although I couldn't use it because of the cold, it looked great. TV is a bit small, a/c a bit noisy, but otherwise the room was awesome. It's probably a lot of fun in summer. Internet is bad, really bad.

Rented a cabin for the night. The cabin was wonderful. Clean would be an understatement. King sized bed. Whirlpool bathtub big enough to swim in. Separate standing shower. Full kitchen, the included dishes were a nice surprise. Would have uses the hot tub but the wind storm kinda prevented that.
Had left to run errands in town and came back and the wind had knocked out the power. Site manager made a point to let me know that the power was out.
Check in process was quick and simple. Check-out was even quicker.
It's a very quiet location too. I lived in grove for 5 years and didn't know that candlewyck was there.
Definitely recommend for weekend getaways.

We stayed at Cottonwood. My husband and I shared a king bed and our toddler slept on the twin sized pull out couch. We had a wonderful gas fireplace, jetted tub, private deck, private hot tub. They have helpful signs that explain common troubleshooting things like how to operate the shower, where pull out couch blankets are etc. It was so relaxing, easy, and good value, they have such convenient amenities. My family had a great time during the non peak season. We went to Harber Village and saw Santa, and enjoyed the company of our friends. I hope we come back soon!

The website offers very minimal information, which I have seen others mention as well. Upon arriving and checking in, we did notice that area around the resort was absolutely beautiful. Upon arriving at our room/suite, we were unable to enter it due to being given an incorrect door code, so we had to call and get the proper one. The photos of the room we booked did not match the room we stayed in at all. The room was decent, but not really worth the price. The linens had holes and rips throughout them, and a few of the towels had what appeared to be blood or makeup stains on them. There was a note we found stating that the hot tub had been sanitized and sealed for our protection prior to our arrival, and to use the scissors/snippers provided to cut the seal for the hot tub if we chose to use it. Well, we of course did want to use the hot tub during our stay, so later that evening we went to the hot tub. When we walked over to the hot tub, we immediately noticed it was not sealed at all. The lid came right off. There was no seal of any kind holding the lid down. After removing the lid, we immediately noticed a foul smell coming from the hot tub. The water seemed stagnant, and there were leaves and dirt sitting in the bottom of the hot tub. Aside from the room and the hot tub, it was also extremely difficult to communicate with staff or get any help if you needed it. Their office is closed Monday and Tuesday, so you'll probably have difficulty getting any help on those days as well. The best part of the stay was truthfully just the view of the lake and nature around us, and the wildlife. Aside from those things, we would not recommend booking a stay, nor do we intend on returning.

We needed a break from our lives and with two small children I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how much attention to detail the room had. Instructions placed strategically like tv instructions. A binder in the room containing advice on local things and offering assistance for possible trip hiccups. The amenities were thoughtful and such an enjoyable part of our stay. I would love to come back for whatever I can get an excuse to visit.

This place is gorgeous. There is only one road in and out which is nice. The pool is beautiful and well kept. They have golf carts available to rent so you can toodle yourself around the property. The king sweet is what we stayed in and it was lovely. Fluffy pillows and lots of towels. Nice and clean. Didn’t have a funky smell like a lot of resorts with pools and hot tubs tend to have. The patio had a nice hot tub area and a propane grill. My bestie and I came to celebrate her birthday and we will be returning to rent one of the house/cabins with our families. It was perfect for a quiet retreat for us but it will be great to bring our kids back too.

This place is AMAZING and beautiful scenery. The workers are so nice. The price is absolutely perfect!!!!! We will be staying here everytime and will come more often !!!!!
The rooms are great size which we had a small one .

Really impressed with the beautiful cabin, pool and amenities. Cabin was large, clean and had everything we could want. Playground, basketball court, yard games were loved by our kiddo. Nice office staff and keepers. The pool was refreshing and well kept. The docks were easy to find. We caught several fish. Quiet during the week and evenings. Close enough to town. Easy drive to Bernice to visit the state park and swim in the lake. Will be back!
