I have been camping here since 2019 on the hill and then seasonally for 4 years. We decided to leave at the end of 2024 season due to some unfortunate circumstances but scheduled several weekends for the 2025 season on the hill. We received messages from Judy saying how happy she was that we would be back…. Fast forward to February of 2025 and I get emails with no explanation saying all my reservations have been cancelled. I reached out several times before I got a response and this is all I got

It has been decided it is in the best interest of the campground to cancel reservations, refund the 3 reservations you had for the 2025 season, and no longer have a business relationship with you. At this time, we are asking that you not return to Camp HiYo! for any reason.

We don’t have an explanation as to why we are asked to not return we have had a wonderful working relationship with this campground up until now. Beware of Judy… if she decides you are her target you will be ostracized and targeted in her hateful ways. We literally spent years volunteering and donating money towards this campground just to be treated as if we never existed.

We spent the last several years at this campground, and it truly felt like a second home. My kids loved it, and we built an incredible community of friends who became like family. Unfortunately, that was all taken away from us due to poor management and false allegations.
The new manager, Judy, made a decision about us without ever speaking to me directly. She claims that certified letters were sent to me as a form of communication; however, I never received or signed for any such letters, and when I asked for proof, she ignored me. Instead of addressing any concerns or having a conversation, she acted based on misinformation and refused to communicate. It’s clear that Judy is running things based on personal bias rather than facts. Additionally, several families reached out to property management in an attempt to help me stay, but they never received any response.
This campground could be a great place, but under this management, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Communication is nonexistent, and decisions are made unfairly. If you choose to stay here, be careful—Judy plays favorites, and if you end up on her bad side (even without knowing why), you could be next.

Very friendly and nice at first. Picked a site ran background checks then ghosted for a week by Judy… she is horrible at responding or getting back. Ended up finding another site elsewhere. All previous reviews of her are pretty accurate. Highly don’t recommend wasting your time here.

We camped with family for Halloween weekend event, our first time camping here, quiet, nice lots, clean bathrooms and showers, fishing pond, playground, pool was closed for the season, the wooded area is for seasonal sites very nice, hayride, haunted hayride and house were perfect for the kids plus trick or treating. Lastly a small dog park area which is split into two sections to keep dogs separate, very clean and found it to be used as a more one per owner which I liked.

Took our grandkids there for the weekend, we all had a relaxing time. The park is very clean, the fire pits are great, had fun fishing and there was plenty of open space for the kids to play ball. Tucked away from all city noise.

The lady in charge named "Judy" BEWARE. If she doesn't like you, she will make sure to make your stay at this place is miserable as possible. I have never experienced such rudeness at a place for relaxation. Other staff are great unfortunately the owners of this place don't have a clue who they put in charge after the sweet couple that previously ran this establishment had to leave. It's such a beautiful place we used to enjoy! Too bad one person on a power trip can ruin it for many!!!

Best campground we've been at, so we set up as seasonal campers here from April through October. New management this year 2024 and they are Great ! I can't say enough nice things about them and the staff. The grounds are well kept and they have a variety of activities each weekend. I highly recommend this campsite !
