We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant and store/gift shop on our way to do some exploring around Callaway Gardens and I am so glad we did! Food was warm and yummy (pancakes were a table favorite) and the staff were so sweet. The gift shop had so many unique items to choose from and an adorable kid area as well for them to grab a little something. Great place to grab some unique gifts for loved ones for Christmas! Bonus points for the stunning view while enjoying our breakfast. I can only imagine how stunning it’s going to be in a few weeks with fall foliage. We even saw a few eagles while eating! Will definitely return on future trips to Callaway!

Arrived at 10 a.m, Waited 1:30 for breakfast was told they stopped serving breakfast and we would have to wait another hour while they changed kitchens for lunch. When speaking to the manager Ron about lack of informing customers of this transition or teaching waitstaff to inform customers. His exact words were" I don't have a crystal ball on how busy we will be", he just cam across as unprofessional and rude. We won't be back.

Came to callaway gardens with my family for the lights from Atlanta. Made a reservation 2 weeks ago for breakfast, came in and said they do not take reservations anymore. This is FALSELY ADVERTISED and does not need to be on your website if you are not going to honor it. Do better.

We had a party of 8, 4 adults 4 kids. We went for breakfast, there were not a ton of people and there was a lot of open seating, but someone else who was waiting said they were taking names anyway because they were backed up. No problem. We did t wait very long but there was clearly an attitude when we were seated. Our server never even mentioned her name. Then unfortunately one of our children got sick and half our party needed to leave shortly after we'd ordered. We were very sorry and apologetic and asked the server if she could please pack everything to go. She was visually irritated by this. She did it, but we could feel the irritation. She brought everything out and handed up a check and that was that. We got it back to the cabin and there was butter in ramekins with no lids and gravy on biscuits in paper to go containers. Luckily we didn't have to go far, but if it had been any further there would have been a royal mess. And then the food was just ok. I had the specialty pancakes which were French toast pancakes. Had a lot of potential, but they were just not good. We'd been here in the past and everything was great, but this was not the place I remembered service/food wise 🙁

Restaurant states they close at 3 and we arrive at 2:15. We drove 2 hours to get here because we plan on doing callaway gardens events in the evening. They need to adjust hours if they will be closing earlier

Hours for breakfast end at 11am, 20 minutes before that we are told they are no longer serving breakfast and it would be a while before they could even seat us for lunch, ( only 4 tables had people at them, but they had to finish breakfast before lunch could be seated) spoke with Ron "the manager" he just kinda said to bad I have to get ready for lunch and can't do both, because lunch starts at 11am. You have got to be kidding me. Heck even McDonald's can do that... hey guys how about just change your breakfast hours to end at 10:30?

The service was good and the employees were nice and attentive but the food is horrible, at least what I had was. I got the fried green tomato sandwich and the "old fashioned" potato salad. Yyr sandwich was just greasy. Yeah, it has fried green tomatoes that will be greasy to a point but everything about this sandwich was just a greasy, nasty mess and the flavor was awful. The "old fashioned potato salad was just undercooked potato with too much mayonnaise on them. Since I didn't eat but a couple of bites of the sandwich, they were nice about it and didn't charge me for it. Waitress asked if I wanted something different but the sandwich was so greasy and horrible tasting the it ruined my apatite. I doubt I'll go back. I gave 2 stars because the staff was nice but the horrible food just ruined the whole experience.

My three friends and I were meandering back towards home and decided to have breakfast at the Country Store. This building was the original one built by Callaway when he created Callaway Gardens. We sat near the window which provided a lovely view of the fall foliage. Our wait staff Margaret was very sweet and helpful and got our order perfect, then continued checking on us throughout our meal. More, because a few of us like a little bit of coffee with our sugar, she brought us a bowl of sugar, which kept us from having to open a million tiny packets. This of course makes her my personal favorite. 🥰 Breakfast was simple; French toast and fruits, scrambled eggs and grits, country ham and eggs, and bacon and eggs. It was all cooked perfectly and quickly, and served nice and hot. More so, it didn't break the bank. Pricing is very reasonable. We also enjoyed the store itself and made a few purchases prior to leaving. I just adore places like this and will definitely be back again.
