First time here. Went around 1130, very busy but got a table immediately. Had pot pie, catfish plate and 2 waters..$38. Waiter was inattentive but all the staff minus the lady at the very front in the store, looked like they rather be anywhere else but there. Food was crackle barrel like. Catfish and hush puppies were the only hot and decently tasting thing. Catfish was not over breaded but could use more seasoning, actually all the food needs more seasoning. In no way, shape or form was that nearly the world's famous pot pie. Very bland and tastes premade, clearly as u can see the crust top comes right off. We didn't ever get our bread brought out to the table either. Got one coconut cream truffle on the way out...that was delicious! One and done is good for me!

We were camping at FD Roosevelt state park for Christmas and specifically planned on lunch here because most places are closed so I very much appreciate the staff taking time from their families to serve us patrons with no place to eat!
I had the ham, collards and peas. i expected frozen or canned but these were very well prepared. The waitress was very friendly and it was a nice experience. (Not a fan of the biscuits though)...maybe i'm just used to cracker barrel.

How does a Restaurant advertise they serve breakfast from open until 11am. Then when you walk in at 10:47am the Host stats we stop serving breakfast at 10:45. I said- that's 2 minutes ago and your hours say until 11am. Many times I've eaten at this restaurant, even @ 10:55 for breakfast, always had a good experience. Maintain the standards, don't start making new ones before notice to the public of change... CALLAWAY GARDENS COUNTRY STORE... #YOUhave2doBetter

The food was nothing special. The sides lack seasoning, the fried green tomato sandwich was the worse I’ve ever had (Mayo base something with sweet jam, cucumber, cheese, on toast)… my friend enjoyed his pork chops and my side salad and fried okra was good.

They weren’t busy… I came just for the view and didn’t like the fact they wouldn’t allow us to sit at a table that seats more people where we could lookout the Windows and enjoy the view… the main reason for our hot in a half hour trip.

The first waitress we had wasn’t friendly and she left without letting us know something else would be taking over. Thank goodness the other lady was much more pleasant.

Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend. Neither of us were pleased.

Very charming and rustic. Great view of Callaway. The biscuits and cornbread muffins were great, with the homemade jam. Really enjoyed the fried green tomato sandwich. Burger was a little overcooked. Service was great. Overall, I'll come back.

Went two days in a row and had totally different experiences. Went a Friday morning with short wait, exceptional service, I think her name was Kelly, and the food was fantastic. We were excited about going back Saturday morning and had already decided what we were ordering and looking forward to coffee to start. People were standing around waiting everywhere and they said the wait would be close to an hour. There were empty tables everywhere and one section was totally empty. When we asked why we were told it was a kitchen backup problem. We could have accepted that if we could have sat down and at least had some coffee but were told there were other places in Pine Mountain. We went to a breakfast buffet but it was just food to eat and nothing special except the service was wonderful. As busy as they were they cleaned tables and got people seated as fast as possible.

Overall I’d say it was an ok experience, but if there were other places to eat in the area I’d pick some place else. When we got to our table we placed our order and they brought us a bread basket, but they didn’t have any clean silverware. We waited about 10 more minutes then they brought us some plastic ware. Luckily the silverware was cleaned and brought to us when our meals came out. Overall the service was fine. Jackson, our waiter, was quality. The food was not a great value though, at least in my opinion. I’m sure there are many people who “love” this place due to memories and what not, but if it weren’t for the basic monopoly run by Callaway Gardens in the area, I doubt it would be open since it’s not great food for the price.

Food was okay. We were one of the first customers that morning when they opened. We had traveled from Tallahassee, Fl and got there right after they opened. The bathroom was absolutely DISGUSTING!! You could smell it from the store area. Some of our food tasted like it was left over from the day before. We paid more at this place to have breakfast than we did at Cracker Barrel the next day and received more in quantity and quality. Just doesn’t add up!
