This was AMAZING!!
I’ve never had Ethiopian food before but wanted something that looked healthier than my typical. Mango drink was delicious. I ordered the plate for 2 with my choices being #1,2,5,10 and 11. I would recommend each of these. The lentils and chicken are a medium spice level that did have my nose running but that’s perfect for me.

Love this place! Ordered the individual veggie combination for take out. In town visiting for the weekend and passed this spot on the way to the hotel. So glad I stopped and will definitely return on my next visit.

The food was delicious. We had a party of 4 and didn't know how to articulate the combo of items we wanted and our server kindly and accurately interpreted what we wanted. And it was a much more affordable route than our original plan.

Food was delicious and really reasonably priced. We got "the works" which includes all the vegan and meat dishes along with salad and injera. It was more than enough for the four of us (we couldn't finish it all). Service was friendly and quick. We arrived rather early around 5pm and the restaurant was fairly quiet but it picked up and got busier as time went on. Definitely recommend 🙂

My family loves Cafe Desta, especially for special days like birthdays! It’s so fun to have our food served and enjoyed “family style” from a large shared platter. I’m the only vegan in the family, so we order “The Works” to cover us all. Everything is so flavorful and filling. My favorites are the gomen, fosolia, and the misir! There’s always plenty of injira but we also include a side of the thick ambasha bread. Always plenty left for later!

If you haven't had the opportunity to eat at Cafe Desta you are missing out. This restaurant has the best Ethiopian/Eritrean style food around. The food is delicious and the service exceptional. Also if the raspberry almond tart is available TRY IT. It's a gluten free dream. We had one slice and then bought the entire pie. Highly recommend this hidden gem 💎

While looking for vegan options for my folks who are visiting, we came across Cafe Desta. There were many unique flavors! I highly suggest that you order the lunch combination option and try as many different things as you can. Be careful though, some of the items can pack some heat! To me, that's not a bad thing. Definitely give it a shot.
