A couple of friends and I try to find new places to go out to once a month and this place did not disappoint. We will definitely be back. Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious. The area also has a lot of cute shops around. We got the spinach artichoke dip to share. I was craving a salad so I got the Caesar salad and my friends both got bowls. There was so many yummy things on the menu u it was hard to decide so I will be back to try some of the others.

EDITED REVIEW: Visited here again after being provided the opportunity for a better experience on 501's behalf. I really appreciated the gesture; unfortunately my experience was no better than before. See picture of my 35$ dollar meal (bottom) against my daughter's 9$ meal (top). I would love to give credit that the skewers were excellent despite the small portion, but honestly there was almost no flavor to anything I ate. The piece of broccolini, however, was really good. Thankfully my daughter shared her pizza with me because I was still really hungry after clearing my plate. Thanks for the opportunity to return 501, but this represents an honest accounting of my subsequent visit. My opinion continues that for what customers are asked to pay for their plates, the value is too low.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: We've been coming here for years and have probably been here 20 times, but every time my daughter asks to come here anymore, I start to say it's just too expensive for what you get. Still, last time she asked, I gave in and away we went. My entree was one of the specials for 28$. Sure enough, the serving size was small, and upon finishing my plate, I was still hungry. It always seems to be the case like this, here. Heavy prices and small portions. It's a shame because it was always one of our favorites, but I'm tired of leaving hungry or having to spend extra money just to be satisfied. This review reflects the past 5 or so experiences at 501.

The best salad and soup in the OKC area. Try the 501 salad and tomato soup for the best combo. Their fried chicken at dinner is delicious as well. Make sure you grab a cookie or cupcake too. I’ve never had a bad meal here.

We were looking for an eatery in Edmond that would please everyone in our group and Cafe 501 was perfect! It starts when you walk in the door and see their display of pastries then take a gander at the menu, but probably best of all was the staff. They were very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and the service was prompt. We started with the truffle fries, spinach artichoke dip and the pop rocks then came our entrees! Definitely need to save room for dessert!!!
We will go back!
02102024- When you had an awesome first dining experience, you can only hope that the something about the next time that you go to eat there will be good. But everything at Cafe 501 was great again today. We stsrted with spinach artichoke dip then had the pan-seared salmon on a bed of rice with snow peas and shrimp! The service was great!! Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert this time so I guess we'll have to go back again! 😁

My favorite restaurant in all of Oklahoma! Everything on the menu is excellent! The Crispy cobb salad is the best ever. Great fries. Angela is the best server ever and treats you like family. Everyone here is so nice and go above and beyond for great service. Highly recommend I would give it 10 stars if I could!

My first experience was a themed 90’s coursed meal. We picked an earlier time for supper, because the last time we cam patron were lingering about and out 7 PM reservation became more like a 9PM reservation. This time around, the server was Angela. Very informative and helpful. This 90’s themed meal was well thought out with amazing cocktails. Out favorite was the adult capri sun. The bartender or alcohol curator as I called him was phenomenal. Dressed in his best 90’s retro look and mingling about the dining room. The dishes were great. I will return for another coursed evening. Well played Cafe 501, well played.

I don't even know where to begin--the Beef Bourguignon is 10/10, the veggies were perfect, not overly cooked and mushy, not underdone and crunchy, right in the middle.

Will definitely be back--when I called the hostess was very sweet and answered my silly questions, our server Ashley was phenomenal--her wine recommendations, the food, everything was great AND she brought me dessert with a lit candle for my birthday.

100% will be back soon probably in a couple weeks when my parents come to visit.

I love the new menu. I gone a few times since the revamp and I have to admit, it was good. We last visited for the taste of Napa Valley, a wine paring with a few choice dishes. The four courses were great and the service was too. The atmosphere and decor is relaxed and the servers and hosts are professional while showing off there individual personalities. This special event was wonderful. Can't wait for the next one.
