Town is small, sparse, and very rural, folks who worry about safety may have issues with the surroundings. Hotel used to be a hospital. Charming, quaint, historical. Rooms are small but comfortable. Bathroom was large, done up, very clean and everything worked great. Kerry, the hostess, is friendly, efficient. A great deal for the weary traveller. Recommend if you are okay with the town.

This was a stop on our way to Shasta, and I'm so glad we chose Butte Bed and Breakfast. The old house is charming, and the kids were in awe—they didn't want to leave! The beds were comfortable, and the hosts were lovely.

Dorris is a small town in a vast, beautiful countryside. I would have not found this gem of a bed and breakfast if not for a winter storm. Carrie welcomed our group with genuine hospitality late in the evening without hesitation. She offered us tea and something to eat upon arrival.
The rooms are cozy and the bed was so comfortable. The rooms have their own private bathrooms. The facilities were clean and the shower hot. Delicious breakfast was even included! The accommodations are truly a deal! I can’t wait to come back in the summer to hike, bird, and experience true and genuine hospitality again at Butte Valley BnB. Thank you Carrie for welcoming me so graciously! 🩷

We had a wonderful stay here recently!!!! The rooms are spacious and immaculate! The decor is quaint and charming! We enjoyed the hospitality from the owner, and her breakfasts are delicious! The owner went above and beyond to make our stay very special. We would highly recommend staying here and are looking forward to our next visit!

Shangri-La for motorcyclists. Dorris very modest town w very little to do. But, owner is super nice and allows you to park bike in fenced/locked back courtyard. No need to offload the bike. Perfect stop for comfy bed with private bath and protected parking. Will stay again for next years Touratech Rally.

My husband and I had the most hospitable experience. The owner was so sweet and we slept so well. House is very quiet and homie. She made the best breakfast. 10/10 highly recommend.

One of the most amazingly unique stays. Jeff took great care of me and made me feel right at home. The yummies breakfast and sweet antiques made it a very rare experience that I would highly recommend!

Man, oh, man. I love this old, quaint house. This is the best bed and breakfast ever! The spa in the back is so nice too. I love Jeff! He runs a clean comfortable inn with so much character and history, cooks fresh, hearty, made from scratch meals, keeps really good beer in the fridge, and is such great company. As he says, "I love people." Hospitality in the name of this place is truly an understatement.
