Burger House is an icon of Miami AZ, Gila County, and Arizona! Whenever we head up to the White Mountains from the Valley of the Sun, we plan on stopping for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Burger House. Their food is excellent and the value is amazing! They’re especially well known for their Green and Red Chile burritos and almost everything else on their menu smothered in green or red chile. We love green and red mix burritos which have beans in them along with green Chile pork and cheese or red Chile beef and cheese. A few things you should try smothered in Chile besides the burritos are the burgers, fries, and enchiladas. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask for a fried egg on top of whatever smothered plate you’ve ordered. The delicious, oozy, yolk is a perfect compliment to the chile. Try an order of buttered tortilla chips with the house salsa too. It’s a wonderful starter. If you’re short on time, call ahead and place an order for pick up. If you have time to dine in, be sure and ask them to smother your burrito, burger, fries, or enchiladas with your favorite chile or both (Christmas Style) as it won’t come that way unless you ask.

What can I say about this restaurant. Well, for starters, I was highly disappointed because I was expecting more, since this place came recommended. We showed up at lunch time on Saturday and judging from the amount of people I thought this is going to be good. Wrong! Stepped inside and a very rude person waited on me and seemed impatient when I asked questions about the menu. Since this was my first time, I wanted to know what I'm ordering, right? I didn't know what a "Burger Ole" was since there was no description on the menu. Well, I was told it's "two patties with cheese and green chilies", that was the description. I said okay, but no mayonnaise. When my burger arrived, I was shocked to find an open faced burger smothered in green chili. Something you have to eat with a knife and fork. Not what I expected or wanted, but I ate it anyway. Underneath was a soggy bun, shreded lettuce and mayonnaise. Yuck. I ate the burger patty and that's it. The food was very mediocre! Definitely nothing to brag about. My husband ordered a bean and cheese burro (burrito), which was extremely small, and covered in butter, which I thought was weird. Butter? But to make matters worse, there were several flies buzzing around the inside of the restaurant which made eating very unpleasant, trying to eat and shoo flies away from your meal. One fly landed on my drink straw. Yuck. After that, we left. Won't be back, but next time we are in Miami/Globe, we will visit our favorite restaurant, El Rey. Never had a bad meal there!

The actual name is La Cocina de Casillas, but the food was amazing, hit the spot, but not overfilling even after finishing my entire plate. And the rice was amazing. I usually don't really go for the rice at most Mexican restaurants but it was delicious here. I had the beef enchiladas dinner plate and I loved it.

Their green chile is probably the best in the state. It was phenomenal. However, the shredded beef taco was disgusting. It was not shredded like you would normally see in Mexican food. It was like a beef paste, like you see in the tacos at Jack-in-the-Box. I will definitely be back, but they can keep those tacos.

Love this place! We drive thru Miami every couple of months or so and always try to stop. The "Burger ole" ( green chili burger) is to die for. Or just the green Chili bowl.
