Food was delightful, however I can say that it did really bug me that no one was wearing hats or hairnets. I decided to order & critique nevertheless & told myself that if I found a hair in my food, I would make a fuss out of it. Call me childish but as a genuine food enthusiast, it’s just one of those things you pay attention to, Coffee was mediocre nothing special but I can confirm that the restaurant did appear to be on the messy side. This place should really look into hiring a worker to maintain cleanliness. Food was visually full & was scrumptious indeed. I ordered the cinnamon sugar bagel with honey walnut spread & a Bacon, Avocado, and tomato bagel with no tomato & spread on the side.

Warning, caution...11am on weekday, place had no line, two tables full, but was an absolute mess. Manager was on duty, but clearly lacks cleanliness. Note photo, milk left out, open yogurt sitting out, both which remained out for the 20 minute duration of our visit. Someone will get sick if they don't make an effort to follow basic food handling procedures.

I love Bruegger’s Bagels and have been eating at their restaurants for years. I’m not sure what is going on at this La Canada location, but I can’t eat there any more despite it being the closest location to me. The inside of the store is so gross. The floor and bathrooms are one thing, but peek around to see where they are constructing your bagels sometime. Piles of crumbs and mystery spills are encrusted where they are working and under the bagels up top in the baskets. I hope you wanted an everything bagel - because everything will be on your bagel. I can’t even imagine how things are in the back where food is prepared.

For years, the cleanliness has been declining. I wrote a complaint directly to Bruegger‘s about a year ago hoping that this was just a short-term staffing issue, but nothing has changed. I would love to be able to come back without risking food poisoning!

My husband and I have been coming to this location gor many years as it is only within a few blocks from where we live. It has always been one of our favorite go to places that we love bringing our out of town friends and family to. However, as of late, ESPECIALLY today, I am questioning continuing to give this location anymore business. The customer service is down right atrocious. Today, I went in to order and from the moment the interaction with the girl behind the counter started she was absolutely snotty and rude. My husband wanted a farmhouse sandwich with the pepper set that goes on the western. She rolled her eyes and said "so you want the western" I said, "no, I still would like the farmhouse but with the peppers that goes on the western." She clearly seemed annoyed. I requested the rest of our order, paid, and patiently waited at the end of the counter. She then proceeded to start reiterating the conversation to her coworkers loud enough for me to hear at the end of the counter to the point I had to ask to speak to the manager. She then rolled her eyes and the girl who was the stand in manager stated this was the second complaint they have recieved about her since yesterday and she will probably have to be sent home. I truly hope the customer service in this place turns around.

Busy busy place but worth the wait. The bagle sandwiches are amazing. Mine was turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese, and Chipotle mayo on a 5 cheese bagle. AMAZING!!! So good and just the right size.
