Before we booked at this hotel, I called to make sure their pool was going to be open as we have had an issue with that and this facility before. I was told "yes, our pool is open 365". So we spent the extra money at this facility. I spent an additional $60 buying supplies for my toddler to safely swim. We arrive only to find that the pool is closed with a sign saying "closed for maintenance and cleaning". Not only that, but when we went to go get ice from the ice machine, that was not working either.

The area is great, hiking, pacific water, sea stacks, state parks and sand dunes are all right around the corner.

The rooms are decent, I wouldn’t say it’s anything to write home about. That is except for the bugs and droppings that are all along the walls. This place didn’t even help because they close at night. So you call at 3am to nothing and nobody answering. They blamed it on some phone system change but I doubt it because they also didn’t do anything about their disgusting rooms even with photo proof. They actually had someone bang on our door around 12am who claimed to be the manager (he was in a bathrobe and slippers) and said there were multiple noise complaints - mind you there was one singular other vehicle in the entire parking lot. Then we were pleasantly surprised with the local PD to further annoy our evening because of the “noise complaints”. Obviously nothing occurred from that little stunt but it made our night that much more irritating and unrestful.

Fast forward to the next morning - they denied fault for the nasty rooms even though I told them I called multiple times and took pictures. I was disgusted when I saw something crawling on the floor when I went to the restroom but they don’t answer the phone so I couldn’t have my room changed. The manager was still in the bathrobe and slippers when I went to the desk in the morning showing just how unprofessional this place is.

There’s a reason we were the only guests there aside from their live-in manager!

Located right on 101, so a great location for Brookings. Room was large but definitely dated, however it appeared to have a brand new tub and shower surround. Pool was covered for four-season use.
Nothing fancy but a decent economy option for those looking to save a few bucks.

Was given the key card to our room only to find the door wide open, thought they opened the door for us but turned out it had been left open all day with all the lights on. Carpet and chairs had stains all over them, walls were patched and caulking thicker than I've ever seen. No breakfast, no services, this should not be called a resort but price was nice. Oh yeah blankets so thin we had to run the load heater all night, could feel the worn out springs in the bed and 3 pillows instead of four.

This is an amazing hotel! The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and kind!!! The rooms are spacious and clean. In the room there is a coffee maker and fridge. The pool is amazing and very well maintained it is set to be 86°f and is a real treat!

This was our second time staying at Brookings Inn and we’ll definitely be returning. The price is more than reasonable and the staff are friendly , efficient and helpful .|The rooms are clean and everything was functioning as expected . The staff did a great job at accommodating ours needs, as my husband has a disability. We were quite comfortable for both our stays . There’s s an indoor pool as well. |The location is convenient to just about everything. The only downside is the pet area ; folks don’t clean up after their pets and ruin it for everyone. It’s not a reflection on the establishment, but for us that was our only issue.

What gem. I pulled thinking, I don't know. But the young lady at the desk was so awesome with her help. And my room was very spacious, clean, bright and the bed was fantastic. The fridge was good sized and froze my ice packs solid. Only thing missing was a microwave. So what. I'll definitely stay here again
