A very unique and beautiful hotel. Parking is in the back in a large concrete structure, you have to work your way all the way to the bottom level. Easy to get into the building from the garage. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable with blackout blinds - windows are not soundproof.

Lobby could use more of a vibe, music or something. Building is definitely historic.

One of the major downsides of the building is the lack of appropriate fitness facilities. It’s a small room with 2 treadmills, optical and weight bench with full complement of weights - clean and fresh equipment - just lacking space, and limited choices.

Summary - cool property - cool building - central - weird parking - tiny “gym”.

Wow..... is all I can say. Exceptional say at the BLU Tique Hotel in downtown Akron Ohio. Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. Very upscale hotel feel without the upscale price. The staff was amazing from start to finish during our stay. We even had the pleasure of chatting with the general manager during our stay very cool gentleman. The restaurant and bar were fantastic food was amazing live music on-site was an added bonus. We stayed in a junior suite with large windows and very nice city views. The room was clean and well stocked with extra towels. I will definitely be back to stay again highly recommended.

I stayed last Friday night and had a nice experience overall. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. The bartender was also great, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

We were on our way to Pennsylvania and stopped in Akron for the night. Being Marriott people, we opted for the Blutique. It is a beautiful old commercial building that was built in 1923. They have remodeled but kept so many of the unique things that make this hotel so special. The room was perfect and had a very comfortable bed and big bathroom. We had dinner at the restaurant and both enjoyed our meals (he had a steak and I had tetrazzini). After our meal we each had cocktails and were pleasantly surprised to see a musician setting up to play. His name was Little Steve-O and he was sooo good! We will definitely make the Blutique a part of our trip every time we go through on our way to Pennsylvania!

So I have been past this hotel many times and each time I say I'm going in and never do. So for my bday get away we stayed here. The lobby is beautiful makes you want to sit and converse. The restaurant and bar area are the same very nice and upscale. Puts you in a dress up have a meal and a drink. Staff were friendly everyone spoke to us. We sat at the bar and even spoke with the general manager and he was nice and informative. We stayed in a king junior suite and it was like an apartment in NYC!!! We absolutely loved it. Nice and spacious, clean, and the windows stole the show. My only complaint about the room is would be the thermostat. The room would get really hot then freezing cold. We didnt have breakfast but dinner was amazing everyones food was delicious. There is also a patio area out back which is nice. Also you have to pay for parking at the library about 5-7 dollars each time you leave. The hotel is near other food options within walking, peanut shop, chill ice-cream and more. We definitely will be staying again.

I had the worst experience over the phone with the front desk manager resulting in her canceling my reservation, then we re-booked with Marriott rep and then decided we do not need to stay at this property. We canceled and had Marriott create a case. I also suggested they listen to the conversation if calls are recorded.||||I strongly recommend that Carolyn receive coaching on how to handle guests with professionalism, patience, and respect. It is also essential to evaluate her ability to serve as a front-line representative, as her behavior reflects poorly on your property and Marriott as a whole.||||Guests, you will have to walk on egg shells with Carolyn. Be aware!

We came to Akron for a show at the Civic Theater and stayed at the Blu-Tique in downtown Akron. From the moment we entered the staff at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful in answering all our questions. We had cocktails and dinner before our show. The female bartender was so pleasant and made great suggestions for our dinner (I feel bad I did not get her name, but she had dark hair in a ponytail). The next morning we had breakfast, which was delicious, and Latoya and Scarlette were so pleasant and attentive.
Our room was pristine and the stay overall was so lovely, I wish we could have stayed another night. A bonus to it all was the Civic Theater was a short walk away. No worries for parking.
Upon checking out, again the front desk was friendly and every staff member we encountered during our stay was extremely pleasant. if we ever come to Akron again, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
