Stopped in on our way home. Not busy at all. Waitress was nice and checked on us. Hamburger steak was dry, she asked if I wanted a1 or 47, so I assume gravy was not an option. My husband said wings were good. My biggest problem was a loud mouth waitress (big girl, the only one I noticed at least) who was prepping for a later service was loud and putting all her business out there to a customer whom I guess is a regular. She made a comment about talking to her customer gets her a bigger tip, as that is true, being so loud so others around can't enjoy a meal risks that tip.

Poor food quality, disgusting house chips full of salt! Wings mediocre! People that work there rude, especially the blonde hair girl about 5 feet that work the front end. Gave me my food but not my drinks. Rudely cut me off when I said I didn't get my drinks. First time here, last time here!

I forgot to take photos because I dove right in like a wolverine. I had the ten-piece salt and vinegar bone-in wings and sweet potato tots. Both were amazing! I am not a fan of very saucy wings, but if you are, they have a huge list of flavors to choose from.

I first checked out reviews as I always do to get a feel if I’m making the right decision, I felt good about Blazers. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Wings and fries. The wings were hearty and healthy, no problems there. I ate 2-3 wings just to make sure I was tasting what I thought I was. The wings tasted like they came right out of the bag into the fryer without being cleaned. I tried to overlook that because they were good despite tasting like fried blood on chicken. The second thing that turned me off was the condiments were under my fries in the container; why not just serve me my food on the counter. I was completely perturbed about this because this is food I’m ingesting. I don’t know where these packets were or who touched them and you’re mixing them with my food. Well needless to say I didn’t eat the rest of my meal. Cmon guys tighten up.

Service was amazing, friendly, fast, and just the right amount of follow up. Got the hot wings with chili cheese fries. Wings came out wet, just the way I like them. The wings were larger than what I am used to getting in the atlanta area. Chili cheese fries were good. Rolls of paper towel staged at the bar where I ate, so didn't have to ask for napkins. Closed out with a Terrapin on draft served in a frosted glass, the way it should be. Place was packed, that's why I had to sit at the bar, highly recommend!!

Overall: Great wing spot for sure! Beautiful atmosphere, decor (went during Christmas season), and overall experience. Only thing we didn’t like was the “seat yourself” and catfish. The seat yourself resulted in a delay in service, we had to get up and ask for assistance. After we were assigned a person it was pretty smooth sailing. (See Fish section below)

Apps: We ordered the - Cheese Curds (which were like garlic cheese bites) & - Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizers. Cheese curds were unique and served with marinara. Pretty good! (Btw: Not the full order, they were really good and I almost forgot to take pics) The fried green tomatoes were served with ranch.

Wings: We tried the -Spicy Bourbon, Salt & Vinegar, Lemon-Yalu, and Sweet Heat Chili.
Spicy Bourbon had a sophisticated taste, great pairing for a date night vibe.
Salt & Vinegar was okay, I wasn’t a huge fan of it on a wing but love it on chips. Still would recommend for true salt and Vinegar lovers to try (I’m not one).
Lemon-Yaki (Lemon-Pepper and Teriyaki) was delicious! Two flavors I love, one well crafted wing! Heaven!
Sweet Heat Chili was recommended by a fellow Yelper. I like the taste but was too hot for me. I like spicy but this flavor was a lot more than I expected.

Fish Plate - 2pc: Simply put, we weren’t a fan! It’s catfish which has an acquired taste that we weren’t fond of. The hush puppies weren’t a huge hit with us either. My recommendation, don’t risk it …. Get the wings!

Fries: Didn’t like them. No salt.

Service was great! We had a very nice waitress that advocated on our behalf to help with the dish we didn’t enjoy. I highly recommend for those looking for a family of wing-lovers or even Hot Wing date night!

Update: Out of the three people that went with me, I was the only one that "spit out" the fish after tasting it. They have both experienced sickness over night with it coming back up. Make your own decision. (Again, wings were great!)

Rant about Blazers of Hartwell 🤬 Went to pick up dinner after calling ahead to order. It took an additional 15 mins more than they had said it would (that was fine, I know they’re busy & I’d rather it be fresh) and $60 later & all of the items weren’t even there 😞 So my husband called to let them know all items weren’t there & see what they would offer to fix it. The young lady who answered the phone said we could either come back & get the missing items (to which we stated we didn’t want to drive back across town) or she’d give us a “ticket” for next time. He asked her exactly what “writing us a ticket” would entail. Instead of answering the question, she goes “have a nice day” & hung up the phone.

So he calls back to try to ask her again exactly what “writing a ticket” would entail & how to redeem it at our next visit (after being hung up on). The employee then says “you can come back & get them or not, that’s really all I can do.” My husband calmly asks if there is a manager he can speak to about the situation. The girl he had talked to twice now says “hold on” & then proceeds to talk shit about him having called twice about this. If you’re gonna be that dumb, at least mute the phone 🤦🏻‍♀️ She then hands the phone to a gentleman who says he is the manager. He would not identify himself as manager or offer any solution to the problem.

We have never had a problem with this establishment as long as they have been in town. But after tonight, I can promise you they won’t have our business again! I’d rather go spend that money somewhere else & get decent customer service next time. This was just a shameful experience.
