They have a nice variety of drinks and a great seasonal menu. The sitting area is super cute with an upstairs and downstairs. A great place overall.

Only con is that they only have 1 bathroom...So you know how that can get.

Swung through on my way to Saguaro National Park East the morning of January 20th. The cafe is casual and a bit rock and roll 🎸. Not only was the cappuccino solid - strong, rich, but also smooth - but the cafe sells adorable cat stickers benefiting the Heritage Cat Shelter.

This is a local gem with an adorable lounge area on the second floor! The coffee is really good too, and they support local artists by letting them display art and do transactions on their own. I also liked that there's a community board and designated areas for people to congregate, because it's a sign they are investing in the community

You won't find any other place like this in Tucson! Not only is the coffee good, but this is a place that is outside of home, work and shopping. This is what's called a third place, aka a place for people to simply meet & hang out (if you buy a coffee of course!) This place is a safe haven for studying college students, young professionals and freethinkers alike. Think of coffee shops from the Netherlands, France, and other parts of Europe. This place is directly reminiscent of those places. We need more places like black crown. America doesn't have enough places that are built simply as meeting/hangout spot, and that's why I really appreciate this place. I should also mention it is very cozy here! The atmosphere doesn't feel like a business, it feels very homemade, very relaxed, like you're hanging out in your friends backyard. Last thing I should mention is there is $1 refills on any size drip coffee, so you can drink to your heart's content! Seriously, if you're a young student or professional who appreciates community-oriented spaces, then you have to check this place out.

For the first time I visited this place. I was super impressed by the stunning and cozy coffee shop. I can say it's unique!👍Two story coffee shop where you can study or just hang out with friends, very comfortable, very good service👍, and I really love the coffee!👍

One of my favorite coffee shops, and I go to a lot of them! Great environment, delicious coffee & love that they are open late, just hate the super uncomfortable booths. Would be so much better if they were switched out for little tables then it wouldn’t be such a hassle trying to find somewhere to sit (one big booth takes up so much space and usually only has one or two people at it) with smaller tables there would be more room for everyone 🥹

I used to find this place charming. The clubhouse vibe was a safe place for years. But, other than being open late, I dont quite find anything special about this place anymore. If you happen to make it inside, after a battle to secure a parking spot past 5p, you arrive to Barista’s within sight sitting on their phones and finishing long meaningless conversations before eventually verbally acknowledging you. I say verbal because they know you’re there. Be sure to wait by the counter watching them make your drink, they might forget about it or just forget to call your drink out. I’d say they dont mean to keep you waiting but it feels like do!

Love the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff and the other patrons. They have stickers of kitties you can buy to support The Hermitage cat shelter. I love that! The coffee was good except that I couldn't really taste the 2 shots of espresso in mine. Don't get me wrong. It tasted amazing, and I am absolutely coming back. I will just have to remember to get an extra shot next time. I came here to try the maya chai, and I was not disappointed in that at all.
