We absolutely loved this place! John and his wife, Nina were so welcoming and full of information about the area. The cabin was very clean with anything you could need in the kitchen. The hot tub was great and there was an area for a fire with wood available. We would absolutely recommend this place for a quick getaway or even for an extended stay. Great for a romantic weekend or a family trip. ❤️

Extremely clean!! Beautiful loft, sleeps 8, great hot tub, comfy beds, owners were kind and sweet. There were so many hummingbirds!! Lovely walking trails on the property, fire pit area with plenty of seating. Large playground with swings and slide on the property.

Thank you for bringing our family from MI and NC together half way to stay in both cabins this past Memorial Day weekend. We had a wonderful family time together with Brothers, Sisters and Cousins getting together for hikes around Hocking Hills area and also around the beautiful cabin property. We enjoyed the hot tubs, playground in the yard, grilling out and a fire.
John was very kind and helpful and fun to talk with about the area and life in general. It is good quality family time and very peaceful, we appreciate it! Thank you!

Our family of 5 found Bit of Country online and decided to give it a try. The owners were so friendly to work with! Our first impression on arrival was the immaculate cleanliness of the cabin. Not even the slightest bit of dust anywhere! We loved the privacy of the 4 Oaks cabin, being nestled among scenic farmland. Yet, we were within a few miles of all the area's best attractions. The well-equipped kitchen and propane grill made our meals easy to make! Oh, and the hot tub was a great way to relax after long days of hiking 🙂 ||Our close family enjoyed much needed quiet time away from cell service and wifi. Definitely a memorable vacation :)||Loved our stay in Hocking Hills and at Bit of Country!

We had a great time staying at the Three Oaks Cabin. Quaint, clean cabin that was quiet and relaxing. Huge farm with hiking trails to explore. The owners were so nice and helpful. Both them and their daughters shared places to explore that we really enjoyed. We also enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit or in the hot tub. Great place to stay to get away!

Stayed in four oaks for 2 nights in Sept of 2021. Cabins are pretty much as advertised. There are a couple of things visitors should be aware of. There is no cell or internet. Not a problem for us, but could be for some. The stairs up tp the loft are quite steep and narrow. Again not a problem for us, but could be if you are unsteady on your feet. The upstairs bed is small. Worked for us. The water, while I'm sure is acceptable, does have a distinct odor. On thee plus side, the hot tub is great. The cabin is quite nice and comfy. All in all we enjoyed it.

We've been here twice, and to both cabins: once with just my husband and I, and this last time with the kids. Both times were fantastic. It's quiet, only one other cabin, and the owners' house. Cleanest cabins I've ever been to as well!! We also enjoyed just taking a nice walk around the property, which is a welcomed reprieve from the insanely busy Hocking Hills parks. Speaking of, all are within 20-30 minutes and only a 20 minute drive to Logan. Also an easy drive out to Tar Hollow and Lake Hope, two less touristy places to visit.

The hosts are very kind and helpful as well. There's no WiFi, which I don't have an issue with, because it gives you a chance to unplug and go off grid for a bit. You can get good cell service if you have T-Mobile and AT&T but Verizon is sketchy at best, so if you're an internet addict, this won't be the place for you. But for us, that's just a plus!
