No parking at all, dirty carpets....the list goes on and on. First, you check into the hotel at the bar, the freaking bartenders show you to your room, there is no hotel desk/etc. You go to a bar.....then you go outside and go up the dirtiest torn carpet in the world to a room that is probably 12x12. Super small. Now the other rooms are bigger but i guess we got a cheap room (only one available). Shower head is like at 5 feet high. You have to kneel down to wash you hair/upper body. I can appreciate them trying to keep the "old" look but sorry, failed! Very modern ceiling fan and electric locks on some of doors....very different paint work on the inside walls. Not sure what look/style they are aiming for. Asked to have new towels/clean room...never happened. For 300$ for 2 nights.....way way overpriced. And we were in I guess the budget room. Outside the building has peeling paint all over the front. The "Breakfast" that is offered is basically some fruit and prepackaged muffins. We ordered "paid" for a hot breakfast and it was very good. The bar is kind of cool as it still has the old west charm but it is dirty. Floor is very very gross. Overall, never coming here again. Very unprofessional (IMO) to have a floor mat out in front of one of the rooms that says "Go away". Very basic rooms for way to much money.
The town is too "artsy" and political. I didn't appreciate having political agendas shoved down our throat. But the bar/Hotel did NOT do that. Just basically most the other store in the town do. Oh, if you plan on sleeping at night....be prepared to hear the bar band all night. They told me it would stop around 9-10 PM. 12:22 is when we could finally sleep. Not sure how in gods name this is a 4 star hotel..maybe out of 10. I would give it a 2 out of 5.

For for our suite it was 260 for the night. I have to say it was highly disappointing. We were not expecting everything to be perfect, but we did think it would be an upscale room in a quaint little town that would kind of give you the memory of yesteryear. Well the fact that the hot water heater wouldn't even fill the tub and it's a hot water heater. Just for the room. Electrical outlets didn't have covers dirty carpet, dirty walls and not a blanket on the bed when it was 30° outside. No way would I recommend this place unless they step up their game. It wouldn't take much. Just a little TLC. Maybe a larger hot water heater or turn the hot water up on it and let people know it's a single hot water heater for your room.
And let me not forget if you're staying on the night that the band is playing in the bar below. Don't plan on going to sleep until after 2:00 because you will hear it just like you're standing right in front of the band. A little layer of insulation would go a long way to make this into the hotel that they're trying to present it as.

The rooms are clean, cute and comfortable. Yes, maybe outdated (as stated in many reviews) but it is a historic building in the downtown Bisbee, so we really enjoy the room's and hotel's charm.
The food is great - I had the BLT and it was delicious! The bartenders are awesome! Angela was very busy when we arrived to check in, but she took the time to show us our room and it's amenities, and she was very friendly. Later, Jennifer and Austin suggested great beers to my husband and their service was fast and friendly!
The balcony is a fantastic overview to Bisbee's downtown. If we come back to Bisbee, we will definitely stay here again!
Also, the cook and server for breakfast was nice, fast and accommodating. I didn't catch his name.

It may be named the Grand Hotel but rest assured there is absolutely nothing GRAND about this place other than the outrageous price you pay to stay in a complete dump!|I don’t even know where to start. At check in in the restaurant/bar you are told about the free breakfast I think in hopes to make you feel better at the fact you check in and realize oh, what I done. You are than taken to your room ours was the Captains quarters because we needed two beds. It looks like a store front you entry and well it just kept getting worse! The floors are disgusting, the place looks like it hasn’t seen a dust cloth or vacuum. The beds are covered with the thinnest cheapest sheets that are rough, both beds were very squeaky and box springs were dirty and torn with no covers. Bed frames were covered in dust. All the furniture needs a good wipe down, the walls need cleaned and painted the ceiling is just gross! The bathroom ughh. Shower and tub are disgustingly dirty the shower is so finicky turns hot like scolding with a slight movement of handle ( my 9 year old is lucky she was t burned and jumped out quickly! As it went scolding hot). They don’t tell you live music is played tell 2am keeping you up because the walls are paper thin! Which also applies to the floors above you very very squeaky and loud. Do not stay here if you want any kind of sleep between the uncomfortable beds bad linens ,cold, noise and filth at a hefty price $280 for one night than this is the place! We have stayed in many old historic hotels and being old, nice and clean is possible. If the owners of this hotel just did some basic cleaning and a bit of refreshing this place actually could be Grand. Oh yeah the upstairs balcony area where you can make coffee is a joke! The cheap Keurig wasn’t working and the drip coffee pot looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in along time. The carpet on the balcony is in shreds and a tripping hazard oh and there is a closet of sorts with a black drape at the top of the stairs that behind it on dirty floors and buckets of crap are the fine linen waiting for beds. Oh and the free breakfast is another joke! Its a few bagels cold sitting on a table in the bar/restaurant with a note that says for hotel guest. Than they hand you a menu if you actually want something that doesn’t look stale and cold. We chose to leave as I wouldn’t trust the cleanliness is the kitchen after all that we saw in the rims and common areas for guest. All in all I would stay clear of this place it’s was so bad we are writing a complaint to health services and sending pictutres

Stayed here recently in the Oriental Suite. The staff was friendly. The hotel is historic in nature but could use a refresh. The room was interesting and charming. The bathroom needs a remodel. The worst part of the stay was the walls were very thin and noise from the bar downstairs, and the neighboring room traveled freely. We could clearly hear the people next door talking.

We stayed in the Captain's Suite, which really fit our needs. The nautically themed suite includes a large living space with TV and large center table, two bedrooms, and a single bathroom, almost like a small b'n'b without a cooking kitchen (but has a small refrigerator and could easily handle bringing in food and comfortably eating in the room). This works great with our grandson or if you have kids that need a separate bedroom so that the adults don't have to turn off the lights and TV at 7:30 pm. ||It's a little odd that the rooms appear to be an old storefront now converted into a suite, and that the door into the suite enters directly off the street, but it all works fine. The property is older and not in perfect shape, but that's probably how most of the old hotels in Bisbee are and there was nothing detrimental to our stay. ||I had read reviews about noise, particularly from the music and band. We stayed over a Monday night, no band in the bar or down the street, and it was perfectly quiet, including any traffic noise from the street. Both bedrooms can be completely closed off and we slept very well.||You sign in at the bar/restaurant down two doors from the Suite. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel/bar. The menu isn't huge but there's plenty of choices for adults and kids, and it all tasted great. The advertised continental breakfast is really bagel or pastry, and choice of fresh fruit, so we ordered off the regular breakfast menu, which worked out fine.||The restaurant/bar/hotel staff was really friendly, helpful, and pleasant for everything we needed. It's conveniently located, and was a five minute walk from the Copper Queen Mine tour, so we didn't have to drive anywhere.||This was a very nice stay and experience for us.

Fantastic location and friendly service. Checking in and out was a breeze. We were impressed with the complementary breakfast, were not expecting that to be full service with the available options. We booked 3 rooms, each of which could have used TLC in their own way... items didn't work or were broken, but the rooms were clean. The common outside areas on the 2nd floor were really nice to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail. I certainly recommend the hotel, but would set my expectations.

Rooms are cute but a little run down. No screens on the windows and had to prop open window with the trash can. Bar band down below is way too loud could not hear our tv(small 13") or each other talk. Free breakfast was very generic. Way over priced for what you you got overall.
