An absolute hidden gem… my partner and I have been here twice now, and we’re already planning our next trip. It’s unique, special, and just absolutely stunning. It feels like you’ve traveled far work the hills, trails, nature but really it’s just southern Ohio. The owners are wonderful, and they take great care of their cabins and surrounding trails. Even in the winter time, we had such a relaxing time. From the amazing trails to the beautiful wildlife — it felt like home away from home! ♥️

Hidden Gem! Hands down the best getaway my husband and I have had! The peaceful, romantic, cozy cabins were the perfect escape. The cleanliness and organization was beyond impressive! The owner has thought of everything and is very kind - even when you accidentally leave lights on your vehicle on and need a jump for check-out! December 2024 was our first visit, but will not be the last! Just go book your next couples getaway! You won't be sorry!

I “get it”. This place is amazing! We’ve been coming here for 6 years and couldn’t ask for a better place to get away to. We drive up to our cabin and no one bothers us but they’re always available if we need them. It’s a great place to unwind.

We discovered this gem in 2021. We have tried to plan other vacations and even made reservations only to cancel because no place has our heart like Big Rock Cabins|We came 3 times in 2021, 4 times in 2022 and 4 in 2023. We are now on our 3rd stay in 2024 and already booked the 4th in October. We LOVE the seclusion in the most unique way possible. Erin has become like family and is the icing on the cake in the best cabin experience there is (and we have stayed in a lot). 5 stars is the most I'm allowed to give but 100 wouldn't be too many and you won't find any better.

Big Rock Cabins is pure magic!! We have been several times and will continue to return. Seeing pictures is great but the feeling of peace and tranquility is something that you will have to experience first hand in order to truly appreciate this wonderful location. Erin has built so much creative craftsmanship into every little nook and cranny. Here we are proudly wearing our Big Rock fan gear!

What a wonderful place. My wife and I have stayed here several times over the last 15 years or so. Each cabin is decorated in its own style and are really have everything you need for a few days of relaxation. The trails around the grounds are easy to hike and at the end of the hike to Big Rock you'll be rewarded with a breath taking view. Erin, your host is ready to assist you if anything is needed.
Big Rock is definitely with a look at and I think you'll also agree.

I found big rock cabins on Facebook years ago and what a lucky find it was! My wife and I have enjoyed so much the quiet, privacy and the hiking that you can do right on the property and not just hiking, but actually beautiful hiking! Erin the owner is definitely quirky with his designs but that quirkiness makes it even better. The disco ball, the signs, the antiques all add charm to the cabins! But the cherry on top of the Sundae is definitely Barkley the dog! Even though he’s getting older, he’s still really active and enjoys seeing you when you come to visit. Hopefully, we keep our health so we can continue to go for many years! Love this place. Without a doubt five stars only because you can’t give six!

Truly one of the best getaways we've ever had. Everything you can imagine for a romantic and fun getaway. We stayed in Gobbler's Knob at Big Rock Cabins and it was a magical few days. The cabin is perfectly laid out with every amenity you might need. An amazing sound system for inside and outside. Room to dance, a movie, a perfect bonfire area, hot tub, fun hiking trails right there at the cabins. A perfect kitchen area for meals. Nearby is Hammertown Lake for the most beautiful clear water to kayak. Lake Katherine nature preserve had amazing hiking trails as well. Lots of games and movies and wifi when you need some relaxing time. Barkley the dog was such a great host and came to hang out with us and make sure we were having a good time and stayed to watch a movie before heading back home. Erin our host was great and so helpful pointing out all the things available in the area. We are already looking forward to our next visit. If you are looking for the perfect getaway this is the place.
