I went to Beyond The Wok expecting to find the same kind of mala soup I’ve had in Korea, but although they didn’t have it, they recommended the Chengdu-style spicy hot pot instead. It was slightly different from what I was expected, but I really enjoyed it😆 The flavors were rich and bold, and the spice level was just right for me. If you’re looking for something similar to mala soup, this is definitely worth a try. However, a fly was buzzing around while we ate, and it felt a bit too warm inside. The service was friendly and helpful in guiding me to the right dish too😁

Walk up order on a Saturday night was quick and delicious. Order steamed pork dumplings and salmon avocado roll. Portions were great and prepared well.

Great atmosphere, kind servers, and nice food! We loved all dishes we ordered. Deep fried chicken w/ chili was our group’s favorite. My friend and I enjoyed the Chinese fish soup too. We’ll definitely visit here again!

This was a great find while in Auburn. We were looking for a late lunch after an early game and found this gem. The menu had a huge amount of choices. Noodles, soups, dishes, sushi. Choices for all that like Asian cuisine. We had a wonderful server who was very knowledgeable about the dishes. They would make any dish Gluten Free upon request. I asked our server for a recommendation between 2dishes I wanted. She gave a full explanation and talked me into a great selection. I had the Curried Chicken. Bold flavors with a little spicy heat. The spring rolls were good as well. I had enough food left over to take home and have another meal. This was so good! If you are in the area try it.

I was craving a good Chinese food and the place didn’t disappoint! Service was friendly and the food didn’t took long to be on our table. My baby want it ketchup but they didn’t have it, the server was kind to check and a a lady that look like the owner came to the table to offer me other options! Definitely I will be back

Stopped by after work for some take home dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered Curry Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp along with some egg drop soup and a couple of egg rolls. I was very pleased with the portions and the taste of the food was excellent! Loved the Curry Chicken. Best I've had in Auburn! Highly recommend.

Went back and had sushi and it is also good.

Met here to eat with some dear friends in a group of 8. Everyone tried different dishes from pineapple sushi to tofu & vegetables. All dishes were very good and the wait-staff very accommodating. Highly recommend.
