My friend suggested we go here, but I thought he'd been here before, and he hadn't, so it was a new experience for both of us. While I was waiting for him to arrive, I saw on their window, that their cinnamon rolls were voted "the best". This sold me on what I wanted to eat. I hadn't had a good cinnamon roll in awhile. When we got inside to order, it should be mentioned that they do have a vast coffee selection, however, the only decaf option, I was told, came in the form of a pour-over. I also asked for it iced.

My friend and I decided to split the cinnamon roll, but it was so hard, it could barely be cut with a fork, and my coffee tasted like water with coffee flavored milk. My friend said his coffee was okay. I brought this to the attention of the (seemingly only) person working and they said it looked like the entire batch of cinnamon rolls were overbaked. It struck me as odd how that was overlooked, and if it wasn't, why they'd even serve them at that point.

The reason given for the coffee being watered down was due to me wanting it iced, but even if it's brewed hot, typically the amount of coffee would just be adjusted to accommodate for the additional liquid created by adding ice to balance out the strength. A simple oversight, or general misknowledge? Thankfully I was offered a refund for the cinnamon roll and my coffee.

As much initial hope as I had for this place, it sadly let me down. While the staff was friendly, the service warm, and atmosphere inviting, it didn't help when what I was really there for, good food and coffee, wasn't delivered on.

from the moment i stepped into this cafe, i knew it was going to be a great experience. the cafe is decorated so well and aesthetic. the menu is amazing with so many great options to choose from. the service was excellent and both workers i interacted with were so helpful and sweet. i extremely recommend!

I popped in on a Friday to buy a bag of coffee. I love fresh whole beans. I didn’t get a chance to open the bag until Monday morning. When I poured the beans into my grinder they were glistening with oil from their freshness. I eager ground them up and poured them into my stainless steel French press. This was the best cup of coffee since I moved back home from Atlanta in 2012! I can’t wait to go back!

Also, the woman behind the counter was working the front by herself but she joyfully waited on each person as if they were the only person in the room. I was having a bad day and she took a moment to step aside and asked me if I ‘d like a hug.

What a great concept! Love the local authors & support. You can see this is supporting community. Unfortunately the hot coffee I ordered was cold so I had to have it heated up… it was still not hot. But I’ll still come back to try again & give it another chance ☀️

As someone who cannot have any caffeine I really appreciate the variety of options they have, from herbal teas, milk steamers, their AMAZING hot chocolate, smoothies, and Italian sodas. It can be really difficult to go into a coffee shop and be able to order something I enjoy without caffeine. They definitely nailed it, plus there’s so many different syrups and flavors!

I'm from New York and visiting family in the area. Searched for coffee shops and saw Between friends and family. Decided to get a cinnamon bun with the coffee and OMG so glad I did!! The coffee was soo good and it was the best cinnamon bun I've ever had!! The consistency of the icing was spot on!! AND the amazing lady asked if I wanted it warmed up 😁 I will be visiting again!

A very good Saturday morning was spent here, enjoying coffee and waking up while I work out what's next. The Museum of Aviation, obviously, but after that I don't yet know.

A quiet spot towards the back where I got to watch the "senior coffee" gang come in and have a chin wag. Wifi worked well, power outlet worked well and after two cups of coffee, Bruce is working well too.

This is a comfortable coffee shop and they have breakfast items too.

I like how they have author names for their drinks. The Victor Hugo (s'mores iced coffee) was ok. It had more of a burnt marshmallow aftertaste than anything. Despite an extra pump of syrup, it wasn't very sweet or flavorful . I should have asked for extra cream too. The sausage roll was decent, as was the red velvet Belgium waffle. Not great outdoor seating, especially with it being located right next to a gas station, but it did the job. Would still give this place another try given their extensive menu and my desire to try getting a seat inside. I found it small inside and not very cozy.
