First time I’m Bakersfield and my experience with this place was amazing. I ran into a snag being here for my son’s graduation. I was running around trying to make create a room graduation with limited resources. This hotel took my calls and my late check in, late check out and gave me the love of true kindness. Staff were absolutely kind. Sweetu always smiled no matter what and such a gentle soul perfect for the world we live in. The rooms were clean, big and everything I needed. I loved the safety of the gates. Food for breakfast! Pool which I didn’t get to try cause I was at beach. But just a very nice area, definitely a recommend in my book. You won’t be let down. The price was even perfect for a single mom traveling across the united. I even had to stop by at check out and thank them. They congratulated my son and that’s the kind of place that feels like home away from home. See you next time!

Always have a great stay here. Older place but clean and nice. Front Desk is always nice and friendly. When we got to our room we noticed the AC didn't seem to work great. It was over 100* outside so we were worried. Called the Front and someone came promptly. Checked it and immediately offered us a different room. Shower pressure is great and rooms are nice sized. Located in the DT area which does have some homeless a block away at a park but they have gated security coming in at night for the parking lot and room keys to get in buildings. Many great restaurants and bars nearby. No free Breakfast but they have a lovely restaurant where you can get a meal of several choices for $10. Food was really good and fresh tasting especially the sausage. We enjoy staying here.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western at 254 Trask St in Bakersfield. Everything was perfect, room service, front desk etc. But what was absolutely perfect is that I had left a favorite wrap in the room. I called the hotel and spoke with Izzy- she is at the front desk- she went to the room while I waited on the phone. She returned quickly and told me I indeed had left it there. I asked if she would send it to me and charge it to our credit card. She said she would. When we returned home a week later there was the package that had my favorite wrap. Thanks Izzy you're very special. Great customer service .

Needed a room for one night while traveling through cities and best western was the best place to rest and recoup. The front desk was so friendly and helpful and let us check in early, she gave us preference on which floor and gave us a room facing away from the street so it was nice and peaceful. I had car issues and the front desk has been to helpful letting me keep my car there while everything get sorted away. the rooms were clean and tv had good movies, the shower was clean and hot! Walking distance to great cafes, dinner places, and thrift shops! (also across from amtrak if you need to travel around the city with no car 🙂 )

Nice hotel at a great location. Clean and a good value. Some items worth knowing: Access to the 2nd floor is by wide stairs only, as no elevator is present. There are no vehicle chargers on site or nearby. Breakfasts are available on site for $20 p.p. Nice pool on site. Beds are very comfortable but pillows are quite large and thick. No visitors are allowed in the rooms, only registered guests. We would stay here again in the future!

We requested a quiet room and the desk clerk was happy to accomodate us. The only noise we heard was people talking, but couldn't tell if they were in the hallway or if it was a TV in a neighboring room. Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable and had nice linens. We appreciated the fenced in property, but the lot is a little tight.

Enjoyed my stays here on 2 separate weekends. The rooms are cleans hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They have an espresso matching in the lobby that make several different types of drinks, hot chocolate and tea is also available. Quite spot in the center a several very good spots to try out if new to the area.

Just a stop off on our way to Death Valley hence the 4 for location., but the staff were welcoming, rooms we roomy and comfortable. Coffee making in reception and rooms. Nice toiletries. Rooms were clean but decor a bit dated, not that we cared about that. Parking was gated and easy. Easy to find. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice.
