Has potential to be a really nice hotel. Rooms were mostly clean (ie fingerprints on microwave, and dishes). All together I enjoyed the stay but I felt very bad for staff who were kind, helpful, and tried to stay cheerful while they were severely understaffed. I was surprised to see the one front desk staff having to check people in, deliver extra towels, make breakfast, and clean rooms. These poor ladies were run ragged in a fully booked hotel. Best western please staff your hotels before you loose great staff. I normally do not even make reviews, but I honestly felt bad for the over worked employees....who didn't even complain about doing extra I just noticed...

We chose this hotel for a 4-day family vacation because it had a kitchen, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the wrong choice. The hotel was very dirty. The sheets had not been changed. Since we arrived late and were extremely tired, we didn’t notice right away — until we woke up the next morning and saw the condition we had slept in. Everything was filthy. The stoves in the kitchen didn’t work, and only after my husband went down to the office several times did they provide us with a portable burner.

The room, meant for 4-5 people with 2 queen-size beds, had only one spoon placed in a drawer. The inside of the drawers was full of dirt. When we asked the cleaning staff in the morning to change the sheets, they said, “You’re not on my list, so I can’t change them.” There is no daily cleaning service — you have to ask and remind them repeatedly for everything.

The sheets and towels didn’t even smell clean. It was a bad experience overall — not at all up to the standards of a good hotel brand. The blonde lady with glasses at the front desk treated guests as if they were staying for free — always with a frown and responded rudely to anything we said. We were not satisfied at all.

My family and I booked a room at this Hotel, while leaving our city approximately 2-3 hours away to spend the weekend near the beach. We were CLEAR with our needs, while booking over the phone, needing a room for 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 dog. After giving the operator over the phone all our details, he seemingly understood, repeating back our info correctly and confirming the room. We then received an email and text confirmation with numbers and all.

We arrive and are ready to check in only to be told that the reservation was made for ONE adult. Additionally, the name was incorrect and the billing address on file was from a completely different state (Florida, as opposed to Texas). We were then told the Hotel was in fact NOT pet friendly and needed to pay a deposit to keep our dog in the room. We were also instructed to pay extra for the other adult and that they'd "Do us a favor and not charge for the teenager."

Gee. Thanks.

We declined the room and told them we'd wanted our money back. The information was booked incorrectly, and now last minute we are told to pay extra (extort) to be able to stay? Personally, I don't care how many people were piling up behind my family and I ready to check in, we were not going to be forced or intimidated to pay extra when the charges were already agreed upon hours prior. The manager claimed it would be impossible to get our money back however we are already in the process of working with our bank for that refund. We discussed this shortly after with the hotel rep operator over the phone and they too, pressured us to stay, by just paying the dog and extra adult fee. Standing our ground we continued to decline and so they dropped down to just "waive the pet fee and pay extra for the adult." Again, we declined. We refuse to be swindled.

We wonder if the first rep we spoke to purposefully got our info wrong, so that we were obligated to pay extra should we have proven desperate but we only live 2-3 hours away. We enjoyed the beach and the sights and drove back home later that night with no problem. By the looks of other reviews, we dodged a bullet.

You should too.

Only positive: The front desk lady, while new, was very nice, even if she was unaware of what was going on. Management however, could use some replacing.

As a Best Western Diamond Select Member, it is disheartening for me to leave a negative review regarding our recent experience at a Best Western hotel.

Our first issue arose at check-in when the front desk staff appeared unfamiliar with accepting cash payments. My husband frequently travels for work and has had numerous positive experiences with Best Western. Typically, when booking a room for an extended stay, they charge our credit card for only one night or place a hold on our card until check-in is completed, allowing us to pay for additional nights in cash. We initially assumed the confusion was due to a new staff member so no big deal, but this was just the beginning of our challenges.

Upon checking into our two reserved rooms, we discovered that the stoves in both rooms were non-functional. We promptly informed the front desk, only to be told we would have to wait for maintenance to address the issue. Unfortunately, after 8 nights and 9 days, neither stove was repaired, which was particularly disappointing given our intention to use them for cooking.

Additionally, the breakfast service was inconsistent, often lacking sufficient food for all guests.

Throughout our stay, our rooms were not cleaned not even once. I reached out multiple times, speaking with staff various members including Chrissy, Olivia, and Lisa, to request room cleaning, sheet changes, and towel exchanges. While each assured me it would be taken care of, no action was ever taken. Lisa was the only one to provide a straightforward response, albeit rudely, informing me that the hotel does not offer room cleaning services at all to extended stay customers. She was extremely rude and does not belong in a hospitality business.

Moreover, the washer and dryer facilities were out of order, making it impossible to do laundry at the hotel during our extended stay.

To compound our frustrations, we experienced a complete lack of hot water for a day and a half.

I spent a total of $1,374.98 for our stay, which felt excessive given the numerous issues we faced. I believe we should have been entitled to some form of compensation, but unfortunately, the front desk staff was unable to assist with this. When asked to speak with a manager they never knew when a manager would be available to speak with.

I waited six days to write this review because I did not want to tarnish Best Western's reputation. My family has always had positive experiences at other Best Western locations. However, after careful consideration, I felt it was important to share our experience to inform potential guests of the challenges they may encounter at this hotel.

Overall a good value for price. We stayed for 3 nights. Bathtub was dirty. We asked for towels and they provided us. Breakfast was decent with eggs, waffles and coffee. We booked a room with living room but we got a room without it. When we said that to front office we weren't given another room instead. Bed is comfortable and decent kitchen and big fridge and refrigerator.
This place is ideal for someone looking to sleep for the night. It needs some renovation at some point. Lights near bed were rusty.

Positive: The size of the room was good. Negative: Room was dirty in general. Staff and rules were rude not providing extra towels when we asked (only 2 bath towels per room allowed) or pillows for the sofa bed. We had to reuse wet dirty towels for a family of four staying for two nights in a suite.

Stayed here last week and got sick potentially from mold. Room 103 had a very strong smell to it that caused a temporary respiratory issue that took a couple days to get past after I checked out. The staff is friendly but the breakfast items all ran out very early last Thursday, July 10th, and the night shift lady who was there alone did not have a key to get more waffle batter or any hot food items to replenish. This was at 7:30 AM. I'd love to give them more stars, but the room smell did me in..

Rented a King Suite with kitchenette and pull out couch for one week. As we unloaded and getting settled we pulled the couch bed out and there was gold fish crackers all under the cushions and under couch looked like they been there for a while with mold on them. Not sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull out couch bed. The cushions smelled like pee. There was some kind of candy stuck to the carpet in the living area. Carpet felt sticky. Kitchen Floor don't look like they been swept, mopped or vacuumed in weeks. Went to settle in and take showers and there was no hot water, called front desk and the lady said they had a problem and "hopefully" it would be fixed by morning. Only 2 towels. 2 top stove don't work. Tile floor is very slippery and sticky. Pulled out desk chair and there were so many old crumbs in chair. Only have the desk light for living area. Mind you we are paying for a week. Not worth the money we are paying for a week, and would like some kind of refund!
