Chef Chris and his entire team were a delight to work with for our wedding. From the first tasting, the entire event started to feel real to us in an exciting way because we knew, if nothing else, the food was going to be amazing!
It can be anxiety inducing to have to select from a list of caters provided by your venue, but we ended up being so glad that Best in Gourmet was served up to us on a silver platter. Their event manager, Ariel, was on top of everything—coordinating our rentals, ordering beverages, and attending on site meetings that left no stone unturned.
During the event, the front of the house staff had us absolutely dazzled. Our drinks were never empty, our guests were served quickly, and even my friends from culinary school who are notoriously hard to please were raving about the dinner. Someone brought my husband a PBR on a platter and he has been acting different every since lol. The only picture I took on my cell phone the entire day was of my steak, because it was so beautiful I wanted to remember it forever.
As a former wedding cake decorator myself, I was loathe to pass the task of making my cake to someone else but their pastry team made a beautiful and delicious cake for us to cut, as well as assorted bite sized desserts like French macarons and bars.
The B.I.G. team was not only incredibly professional but they knew our venue inside and out, offering insight where we needed it and working with me to make my most minute aesthetic dreams come true.

Best in gourmet is truly the best caterer we could have asked for! They were extremely accommodating throughout the whole process. There were tons of little details and emails back and forth and best in gourmet accommodated all of our requests. During the wedding, they ensured that everything ran smoothly, that we were following our timeline, and that my husband and I were well taken care of! The food was to die for. Some of our favorites were the lobster roll, Peking duck rolls, and the filet mignon. Best in gourmet also made sure that we were well fed throughout the entire event. During the cocktail hour, we were pulled aside and given a tray of all of the hors d’oeurves for us to eat privately. Then during the actual cocktail hour, we were offered even more food. The second our dinner was served, they made sure that we sat down and enjoyed our meal. We also had green bows that were on the aisle chairs for the ceremony. They decided to reuse our green bows throughout the reception to decorate the sweetheart table and the cake table! It was such a thoughtful touch! Again, I cannot recommend best in gourmet enough!

It is difficult to explain how in awe I am of what an incredible job Best In Gourmet did with our event. From the most amazing captain I could have dreamed of, Ginny, to all of the servers, they were kind, attentive and flexible -- really just the best.

They clarified any and all discrepancies throughout our wedding day and allowed us fully soak in the evening without any worry. There were so many details that went into this event that could have gone wrong, and somehow nothing did thanks to this amazing company.

Melissa and Chris spent endless hours planning this event, making sure every detail was accounted for. They worked amazingly well with other vendors they partner with to ensure everyone was on the same page. We were so glad we left many of the details to them They helped us think through an entirely unique event that changed many times due to COVID, and we are so appreciative.

Beyond their amazing service, the food was delicious and the presentation of the appetizers and small plates were absolutely beautiful. Countless people told us they never had such amazing food, and especially not at a wedding. If you book these guys, do not worry at all about the quality of the food - I promise it will be good!

I highly recommend Best In Gourmet to anyone. They are the best in the business!

Chris from Best in Gourmet saved our Wedding after we had another caterer pull out on us at the last minute. Best in Gourmet not only was able to reset and match our menu in 2 days but all everyone talked about at the wedding was how amazing the food was. Great food but greater service! Can’t say enough good things. We had great complements from guests on food and service and they helped our staff as well. I have hosted a lot of corporate functions but this is the best experience I’ve had. I’ll be using them for any needs in the future!

We catered a graduation party in Fairfield using Best in Gourmet. They were wonderful! Very flexible on the menu, efficient, great waitstaff. The food was delicious! I would definitely recommend them!

Just attended an event they did. Well done in all regards. Especially keeping room cleaned up late in event. Often things get messy, but not here. Room constantly monitored for empty plates and glasses. Would definitely recommend.
