Upon arrival, Louie greeted me with genuine warmth, gave me a tour including some great history of the place, making me feel like I was staying with a good friend. I stayed in the cozy Blueprint room (ask why, great story) which was very clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. He has many options for a continental breakfast and has wonderful suggestions of where to go throughout the surrounding area. But if you want to stay in, he has a hot-tub available and a substantial movie collection. Louie’s attention to detail and genuine care for guest’s comfort were evident in every aspect of my stay. I would highly recommend the Berrodin Bed & Breakfast!

I had a wonderful experience at the Berrodin Bed and Breakfast! From start to finish, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Every area of the house was spotless and well-organized, with clear directions that made my stay seamless and stress-free.

The host, Louie, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, greeting me upon arrival and maintaining clear and responsive communication throughout my visit. The location is perfect for exploring Akron’s rich history, adding even more value to this gem of a B&B.

The complimentary breakfast was a delightful bonus, offering plenty of options, clean water, and various nice warm and cold beverages at a low cost.

Overall, my stay was relaxing and rejuvenating. I look forward to returning the next time I visit Akron! Highly recommended.

Louie's property is a wonderful place to spend a night or two when in the Akron area. He is extremely proactive with communication to see to the needs of his guests and has stocked the common areas of the house with items for use or purchase. The rooms are spotless, and Louie is extremely polite and informative with suggestions on dining and sightseeing. You can tell he takes pride in his business, and he should!

This listing we booked from is not accurate. There are extra charges for coffee/tea and the hot tub. Breakfast is granola bars. We left after feeling uncomfortable with the owner and finding out all the extra charges. We booked the room specifically for the hot tub just to find out he wanted $35/hour. When we said the listing did not disclose this, he argued with us. You have to share a bathroom with him. So there is all his toiletries in the shower. I would not reccomendend this place to anyone. It's a guy renting out bedrooms, not a true bed &breakfast he claims to be. The hospitality is just not there.

A nice place to relax! It has everything for a comfortable stay, and the rooms are clean and cozy. The owner immediately won us over, it was clear that our comfort was important to him. There was a feeling that we came to visit a close friend. We will definitely come here again!

One of the best bed & breakfast stays ever. Truly. Kind thoughtful host and everything was sparkling clean. Thoughtful touches throughout the property and great location. Host offers great advice on what to do in the local area, as well as where to eat. 20/10 easily.

I booked a room at the last minute for my husband’s birthday and it was the perfect place to crash after a fun night out. Louie was very welcoming and helpful and his B&B is clean, quaint, and full of character.

I am now about halfway through my 48 state road trip of the entire country, I can honestly say that my stay here was easily one of the very best values of any of the hotels/motels/inns/bed&breakfasts I've used so far. The location is amazing (super close to Cuyahoga, as well as a myriad of other neat nearby places that Louie can expertly guide you on if you are interested). And as long as you don't mind a shared bathroom (and it is a GREAT bathroom/shower), everything about it feels like a high-end stay at a bargain/budget price. My room/bed was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable; the bathroom (as alluded to above) was probably the SINGLE best of any place I stayed; Louie was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive; and the breakfast, while continental style, had several high quality options (which actually worked out great for me because I didn't really have time for a sit-down breakfast, but did appreciate being able to take a few quality packaged items with me on my way out).
The only other caveat is that he does ask that you arrive no later than 10 PM, which actually prevented me from booking a 2nd stay with him (very late arrival on that one) on my way back through the area. But I can certainly say without hesitation that Berrodin would/will definitely be my unquestioned go-to if there is ever a 3rd (stay in the area)!
