We booked tonight saw that they had great amenities. Got there no one was available at the office it was 5:00 this is in the middle of May. Could not access the pool could not access the hot tub. All you could have was the laundromat. Bathrooms are old for the campers or RVs. The lights are on timers and you go dark while you're standing in a shower. Price we had to pay for this place was totally not worth it. We had to walk a quarter mile to get to the bathroom from our back in space. Grounds are for golfers only.

Friendly staff upon check in. Nice area just down the freeway from Avenue of Giants. Little access path to river that runs behind the grounds. Full hook ups. Basketball court was nice(balls were all deflated though) Lil playground for younger kids. The showers and bathrooms were super nice, water pressure was great and it got hot.

Good golf course for the price. The greens aren't really maintained, but for $10 for 9 holes i can't complain

Very nice campground. The cabin was overall clean but the loft carpet was a little dirty. Our door key card wasn’t activated at first but when I went back to get it activated the lady was very kind and helpful. The space in the cabin was very comfortable. They have excellent customer service that is solution-oriented if an issue arises.

First of all, the place is pretty great. But the most notable is the care and concern of every person we encountered on their staff. By far, our best experience so far at a camp ground. The customer service of this site should be a model for KOA campgrounds. (They are usually pretty good anyway)
Even the younger staff were friendly, helpful, lots of smiles!
Just great! I can only give them 5 stars, but I will give them 6 smiles! 😃😃😃😃😃😃

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! ||We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. ||The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. ||The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. ||The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). ||The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It’s a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. ||We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray’s Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. ||I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

Such a great experience! Great campsites, clean bathrooms and showers, a well stocked store, and lots of amenities. Rerouting our trip home so we can stay here again.
