I've lived here for over 2 years and I absolutely love it. This place has made several improvements during my time here. The security gate gives me just a little added comfort. Management is always there to address any issues and that's a plus as well. Very affordable place to live or visit.

Pool & Hot tub have been closed for over a year. No options to purchase food/drinks/firewood or camp supplies on site. Very narrow dirt road with deep ditches on either side for over a half mile leading to entrance to the "resort". Mostly filled with construction workers and other transients. More of a shanty town than a resort. Most of the campers were empty during the day. Serious lack of any comradery or social interaction when they were. Grounds aren't kept up, bath houses are dirty, small laundry facility with old and tired machines. They do have plenty of mud when it rains, lots of bugs and spiders. Hembree road is treacherously narrow and dusty when it's dry; treacherously narrow and muddy when it rains. Don't know what happened to this place but the past review from several years ago do NOT apply today! I would highly advise staying away from Bell Acres unless you have nowhere else to stay.

First visit to this naturist resort and will definitely be back. About an hours drive from downtown Atlanta up I-85 and then about a 10 minute drive. Gated resort so you have to be buzzed in. Fast check-in at the office with a super friendly receptionist. We had had tremendous amounts of rain this week from TS Fred and some of the gravel road were rutted. Noticed there hadn't been a review since 2018 but clearly a lot of improvements have been made. Large pool looked brand new and was spotlessly clean with crystal clear water at a very refreshing temperature. Showers and restrooms in building adjacent to the pool. It is a climb up the stairs from the parking area but stairways were in excellent shape. I didn't try the hot tub which is in an enclosed building. There are several trails through the area that total 2 miles. I did the Green/Orange loop trail and it had moderate gradient changes but were in pretty good condition considering all the rains. Take one of the walking sticks located behind the hot tub building to clear the way of spider webs if you think you might be the first one to walk the trail. I was a bit surprised that there were only two other people up by the pool during my day here. Thought a Friday might be a bit busier as they are open only Thursday - Sunday..Looking to come back for a weekend and stay in one of the cabins.

A gated , secure resort, you're ensured a safe, comfortable & relaxing stay while at Bell Acres Resort. The picture of the pool, pool house with showers & restrooms, and clubhouse on the upper left, with the hot tub& fire pit to the far left.||As you approach the entrance gate, you'll contact the office who will let you in, then greet you at the office just inside the gate. Like all resorts, you'll need a driver license& sign the waiver of liability. A golf cart tour was cool as we cruised around the huge property. Fees are very reasonable, daily, weekly or long term are available with camping tent sites, RV parking lots, campers & overnight cabins too.||As of this review, the RV Pull Thru is $45, cottege $45, tent $10. Daily Membership for a single is $25, couple $30. Check out their website for upcoming events and more pictures. ||The Bell & Whistle clubhouse has a kitchen for everyone to use which has 2 refrigerators, stove with oven, microwave, crock pot, coffee maker & all cooking untinsils including paper plates & plastic ware. A deep sink for doing the clean up. There are 8 hightop pub style tables, a pool table, dart board, piano, 55 inch tv with DISH Satellite, vcr movies & video games available to everyone in the Bell & Whistle clubhouse. ||I was impressed with the many improvements that they are doing at Bell Acres Resort and I plan on returning regularly as I truly love this nature resort and hiking nude, plus I like the freedom to bring my own favorite beverage to the pool. The pool, hot tub & bathhouses are super clean. ||The staff are so friendly and helpful, even the residents were bringing food and salads for everyone to enjoy.||I understand everyone has their opinion & thoughts, this was my experience and observations during my 2 weeks at the Bell Acres Resort.

This place is great for naturists. My girlfriend and I love the huge pool and hot tub. The walking trails are great too! $45 for a day pass is very reasonable and we will definitely be back. The owner is so friendly and welcoming.

Rustic, hidden gem||We are so lucky to have this resort so close to our home!||The resort is going through lots of improvements and changes which is wonderful! The small cabins have been remodel and a beautiful deck built outside. The parking lot for the pool and club house has a new set of stairs that make it much easier to climb and they were even smart enough to place a bench mid-way in case you need to take a rest. The area is not handicap accessible but the regulars and visitors are always happy to help you (We can help you get your cooler or belongings up the steps, just ask!). The hot tub area has a new fireplace outside with a wraparound bench. The trails have been cleared and marked with new foot bridges. The pool is large and refreshing, they are currently working on replacing the deck โ€“ like I mentioned, LOTS of improvements!||The clubhouse is being completely redone and we canโ€™t wait to see the finished look! Tony and Lisa are planning a pub style restaurant and bar. If you do need some food, then Commerce is only 15 minutes away with lots of restaurant options: Longhorns, Zaxbys, Chick-fil-a, Arbyโ€™s, Wendyโ€™s, and several other places. The resort also has a huge community grill located at the pool for anyone to use so if want to bring in some steaks, burgers, or hot dogs then cook them up! A Walmart and Ingles are located just across 85 and an easy drive. The Ingles is a little bit further up 441 but it worth the drive, it is a new store with the wonderful salad bar and deli!||If you are staying for several days, there is lots to do around the area if you can break yourself away from just relaxing in the pool. We love Boutier Winery which is only about 20 minutes away in Ila. Also, Athens is only about 25 minutes away and has some great restaurants!||Whether you are coming for the day or a few days, you will love just relaxing and unwinding in the resort.||ย ||

My girlfriend and i stayed here 29th june to the 2nd of July. We arrived early afternoon and where greeted by a friendly receptionist. Because it was our first time we where given a tour by golf cart of the facility. We stayed in one of cabins they have available to stay in and they where good for the price. Had a comfortable bed, AC, fridge, microwave and ceiling fan. The hot tub is big and warm and the pool is big. The site is all on different levels and spread out. For older people or those less able it would be difficult to get around without a golf cart. The facility's by the pool also look a bit run down and tired and is in need of renovation. The pool looks a bit murky and could do with a clean. There are not alot of things to do. There is cornhole and some trails to walk and that is it. Even for the 4th of july celebrations not much was put on except a DJ that was ok at best and some BBQ food. If you are coming to visit bring food and cooking equipment with you. There are no food facilities on site and we where told the owners dont like you using the kitchen in the club house. We did feel safe and didn't see any creeps, everyone was nice and had a good chat with a few couples. With a bit of cleaning and tidying up, a snack bar/restaurant and bar, proper paved roads and more activities this would be a great place.
