We stayed at the KOA, which let us sample many of the dishes here. Honestly, can't think of a single one that disappointed. The portions are generous so be prepared to take some home or share. The staff that runs the place are so nice, especially Maria the primary bartender. They have entertainment in here a couple times a week, coordinated with the campground.

We dined at BBQ Rush several times while we stayed at the KOA campground. We absolutely loved it!! The first time we ordered to go and ate at our site. We dug right in and it was still nice and hot and very delicious! The following times we ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the same perfectly tender smoked meats, creamy coleslaw and rich baked beans. The ribs were our favorite of all the meats and the tater tots were our favorite side! The meatloaf was good, sausage was great, pulled pork tender and juicy and the brisket had great smoke flavor. Basically, you can't go wrong!!

The only thing holding them back is the service, it's super sporadic and sometimes non-existent! We found that sitting in the bar guarantees great service so that's where we sat when seats were available. Most of the campground regulars already know that so sometimes we had to wait for bar seating! If you end up in the restaurant seats, going up to the bar and counter may wake up the serving staff, they tend to forget there are customers!! They have live music, trivia and other events so it makes for a night of good food and entertainment.

We decided to try this restaurant that is located at the KOA resort. It was still so hot outside that we didn't want anything heavy. We opted for side salads with sticky wings. We shared the wind. The salad was delicious and the wings were outstanding. Our server was so very nice and accommodating. We finished the meal of with chocolate Blue Bell ice cream. We are so glad we decided to try this place.

Server was great, very pleasant. Food tasted good but was surprised only one piece of brisket on the loaded baked potato for $15.
Live music so nice night.

Service is nice, place is clean, but brisket was dry.

The fries had a nice rub on them, and the beans had a nice flavor.

It was a bit hard to find since it's in the "KOA Resort", but once you're past the entrance gate it's pretty easy to follow the signs to the restaurant.

I didn't have a good experience with the brisket but maybe next time a different BBQ piece.

I'm staying at KOA, and I truly love awesome Texas BBQ. I decided on half chicken ($15.00+) with slaw and beans using what appeared to be speedy online ordering. Warning. they do not check for online orders ( go figure?). Order was not ready and came back to get it. The meal was ok, but not great, Texas BBQ. Note that Texas settlers brought with them the traditions of smoking and slow-cooking meat, which they had learned from Native American tribes. Over time, these traditions evolved and merged with the flavors and spices of Mexican and European cuisines to create the distinct style of BBQ. This is not it at all. But, the chicken was ok, the bbq sauce ok. The slaw wasn't right. The beans were ok. I was happy to have an ok chicken right at my campsite so the location and convenience really get the stars.

Amazing BBQ! We typically get brushfire but the past few times we ordered from them, it was terrible. We decided to try this place off of Uber east and OMG it is good!! Not a single complaint.

Drove all the way across town for the hidden gem of Tucson only to see it was replaced by another unneeded Mexican restaurant (Tierra del sol) Total disappointment...pretty sure the last time we went (Mid July) was around when they shut down. We loved BBQ Rush, price point, value, vibe.. all of it will be missed. The 5 stars are for BBQ rush, NOT the new place.
