Best kept secret in Bayou Labatre! Visited today (8/17/24) and got 2 shrimp platters. These are officially my favorite shrimp in Mobile County. HUGE shrimp, endless flavor, and the freshest you'll find anywhere. We'll definitely be back!

If you are in the Dauphin island area or anywhere near southern Alabama you must take the drive and eat here. We drove from the island and it was worth every minute! We had the special of the day which was steamed shrimp, steamed crab legs on top, also a potato with corn on the cob. Small place, but these are the places you go for food this good. The owner came out many times to check on the patrons and to make sure everyone was happy. Absolutely great joint and I cannot recommend it enough. If you want REAL seafood caught fresh this is the place.

This place is not big but the food is excellent and fresh! Hugh portions and very reasonably priced. Have been in the area since Dec and have made several trips here. One of my favorites!

Worth every penny!! After one of my friends recommended this place, I had to try it out. I ordered a couple things; the seafood gumbo, fried oyster platter and the shrimp po’boy. As you can see in photos, you receive a nice portion of food. All of it was good and perfectly seasoned. That was my first time trying gumbo, oysters and a po’boy and they did not disappoint. Ordering my food was easy and smooth, food came out fast and it was very affordable. All of the staff and other customers were very nice and friendly. I will be returning!! Please go check them out!!

Had a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We both ordered the fried shrimp with fries and slaw. The shrimp were huge and delicious. Hot and fresh cooked. We couldn’t eat all the fries and slaw we were so full. It’s a must eat as the food was fabulous and reasonable. It has a very small inside dining area which could really use some cleaning (look up). Health dept rating was 98.

This place is delicious. Great food and friendly staff. We would recommend all of it. The soft shell crab was a crowd pleaser. The shrimp po boy had shrimp dumping out the sides, which is perfect. Gumbo had nothing left in the bowl good. Peel shrimp, onion rings, chicken wings.... you really can't go wrong. Order it all, and you won't be disappointed.

Best fresh seafood around at a decent price. Owner cooks to order everything. Food so hot you can't eat it right away. I've always gotten the shrimp platter with 2 sides or the Shrimp PoBoy (Shrimp are HUGE. See my pictures) My kids enjoy the burgers. Small dining room and tables on front porch. Be Warned, this place stays open until they run out of fresh seafood so go or you might find them closed before advertised. They are also closed Tuesdays and Sundays. Give it a try. You will enjoy the food.

We are from the St. Louis area and were visiting family in Semmes, AL. We spent a few days on Dauphin Island and a couple we met while having drinks told us we HAD to go eat at Bayou Seafood Company. As we were leaving Dauphin Island, before heading back to Semmes, we stopped here…and boy am I glad we did. I feel like when you see the place from the outside, you wouldn’t expect the food to be good. You walk inside and there is a cork board with a paper menu on it- not many menu items but we went ahead and ordered the fried shrimp, fried fish and the all American cheeseburger. WOW- it was amazing!!! The cheeseburger was absolutely phenomenal- best burger I’ve ever had! The fried shrimp platter was delicious!!! The shrimp were so crispy, fresh and huge! The fries were delicious and we absolutely loved the spicy potatoes as a side. We loved it so much, we made sure to go back a couple days later so that we could enjoy it once more before heading back to St. Louis. We ordered the spicy boiled shrimp this time, along with the fried shrimp, burger, and chicken wings, and it was all SO good! This place is a MUST if looking for DELICIOUS food!!! Thank you Bayou Seafood Company! YOU GUYS ROCK!
