My granddaughter and I stayed on a Friday night in January. Nancy, our host, told us to come any time as they live in the Bailey House. When we arrived we were given a historical tour of the rooms, furnishings, photos, antiques, etc. Having known her ancestors made it very interesting. My granddaughter of 10 years old learned much about the life of previous eras. |The bedroom was spacious and bedding comfortable. We had a private bathroom. |We were served breakfast at the time of our choice. Again I admired the glass cases with beautiful collections while the young one enjoyed the cats that were quiet and friendly. |This gorgeous home on a quiet street is the perfect place to stay while visiting Georgetown, rich in history and proud heritage.

We were traveling in the area to celebrate our anniversary, and also hoped to learn some history. The very hospitable hosts of the Bailey House helped us do both! We were greeted with some delicious treats in honor of our special day. The house itself is beautiful, sitting stately on a hill, with huge columns,reminiscent of a Greek temple! Our hosts are experts on the history of the area, particularly on the life of Ulysses S. Grant, whose childhood home is almost across the street! Nancy has lived in the Bailey House (Built in 1830) all her life, and the antique furnishings are mostly family heirlooms. She and Stan shared much history of the area, and told us about interesting places to see. We can highly recommend touring the Grant Home, the John Parker Home, and the Rankin Home. | The lovely home, delicious breakfast, and friendly hosts made this one of our best stays anywhere!

My wife and I had a wonderful two night stay at the Bailey House for our anniversary. If you love History, this is your chance to stay in a place across from where US Grant grew up and where he frequently visited. The room was clean and spacious and decorated with several period pieces. Our hostess treated us well!

We had a wonderful time staying @Bailey House Bed and Breakfast while visiting Ohio for the total solar eclipse in April 2024. The house is conveniently located close to the Georgetown city center and just across the street from Ulysses S. Grant Boyhood house.|Stan and Nancy are wonderful hosts. They will make you feel at home and will tell you stories about town history and today's life. Nancy would open gen. Ulysses S. Grant's boyhood house and tell you stories about the life people led there almost 2 centuries ago.|The rooms at the Bailey House are spacious and clean. You get back in time, away from the hectic modern life, without sacrificing the conveniences we all are so used to.

I had a wonderful experience at the Bailey House. This home from the 1830's is absolutely beautiful and the room was spacious and clean with antique furniture. The owners were so very gracious with their time and provided so much historical information about the area. I walked around the small town of Georgetown and loved the charm and historical backdrop, including the childhood home of U.S. Grant. If you are in the area, you can not go wrong with a stay at the Bailey House.

Just spent a weekend at the Bailey House Bed and Breakfast - what an enjoyable experience! The rooms were clean and comfortable and Stan and Nancy, the innkeepers, were gracious and full of knowledge about Ulysses S Grant. Staying in a historical house that Ulysses used to visit as a child added to our Georgetown, OH experience. Would stay here again in the future.

Spent a delightful weekend in Georgetown Ohio, a highlight of which was my stay at the Bailey House Bed & Breakfast. This historic home, excellently preserved and maintained with large bedrooms and modern baths, welcoming first floor common rooms, and large dining room, has the most warm, friendly and personable hosts. They freely share their historical knowledge of the house, town, and the town’s favorite son, Ulysses Grant. You can’t go wrong with a stay at the Bailey House.

The couple who run this place are extremely nice and accommodating. Place is clean and quite comfortable. Georgetown is boyhood home of US Grant. Lots of history in this area. Will stay here again while visiting friends who moved to Ohio.
