This is such a cool little coffee place. I really like that they close late for a nightly coffee break. I really like their coffee specialties and their great combinations. I like how during the week they have something going on. It gets crowded sometimes, and there could be times when there’s only one barista, so it can take some time to get your drinks. Patios outside are awesome when the weather is nice, but parking stinks with limited parking spots in the back.

First, I would like to say that, the two owners of this coffee shop were absolutely amazing! 🤩 they were super kind, super helpful and informed us about the Kava! (Which, by the way had an instant amazing impact on us)

The Hawaiian Highlight is what we got and we freaking love it😍😍😍 This is the cutest, most hippie little coffee shop and we will definitely be back for more!

8/20/23: One the most perfect spots I would chill at everyday. The dirty chai was excellent with happy service. Highly recommended. The atmosphere is a comfortable beach vibe.

I recently visited Awa kava bar and had a great experience. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed, and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I tried a few different kava drinks and coffee. Kava Bar is a great alternative to a traditional bar and a fun way to socialize without alcohol.

Went on 31st December and the vibe inside the place was pretty chill! They even have board games, where one can spend a good time with group of friends. Their herbal flavor teas are worth a try

First experience with Kava and this place was incredible.

Judah (sp?) was behind the bar and super friendly. Fully understood my newness and explained his take on Kava. I gave home some basic tastes I was looking for and he mixed up a hot Awa Lava Latte… it was awesome.

I hung out and took in the vibe scrolling through my phone nonsense. It was a super neighborly place. A few regulars came in and hung out, a couple of people with dogs.

There’s a sitting area and a bar area as well as a few small tables inside. The outside patio looked good but it was not what I was looking for.

They don’t mind if you bring food to eat there.

There is a parking lot out back to avoid having to pay for street parking

I had a muddy chai as my second drink and enjoyed the kava numbness on my tongue.

Had the greatest dreams that night.

Awa Kava is such a cool little spot. I stopped here with a friend on a Wednesday night and this place was surprisingly busy. This place is complete with board games, a fire pit outside, and a cool vintage-house aesthetic. We asked the kavatender what was good on the menu, and he recommended the Tongan kava with caramel flavor. The flavor was pretty bitter but had a pleasant effect. I loved the atmosphere more than my drink, but overall it was a pleasant experience. Hoping I can try one of their different menu options if I’m ever back in Flagstaff.

Super dope place to relax and grab a kava. The owners Will and Kevin are both friendly and knowledgeable. I guess there are different types of the drink that can be euphoric, relaxing, or for focus. They'll help you find the right one. They have wifi and couches, so I'll be back for sure to get some work done. Great location too!
